Northeast-10 Men’s Track Athlete of the Week

Andrew Grange, UMass Lowell (So., Methuen, MA) - Earned All-American honors in two events at the NCAA Division II Track and Field Championship. Finished seventh in the 400-meter dash with a time of 46.97 seconds and helped the 4X400 meter relay team place seventh in 3:10.99.

Northeast-10 Women’s Track Athlete of the Week

Nicole Plante, UMass Lowell (Sr., North Adams, MA) - Won the national championship in the 10,000 meters and placed second and earned All-America honors in the 5,000 meters at the NCAA Division II Championship. Posted a time of 35:23.49 in the 10,000 and ran the 5,000 meters in 16:56.36.

Northeast-10 Men’s Track Freshman of the Week

Doug Caves, UMass Lowell (Fr., Oxford, MA) - Earned All-American honors in two events at the NCAA Division II Track and Field Championship. Placed sixth in the 400 meter dash with a time of 46.49 seconds. Led the 4X400 meter relay team to seventh place with a time of 3:10.99.

Northeast-10 Men’s Field Athlete of the Week

Sutton Underwood, Southern Connecticut (So., Norwalk, CT) - Finished 14th in the Pole Vault with a vault of 15 feet 5 inches at the Division II National Championship meet.

Northeast-10 Women’s Field Athlete of the Week

Toni-Marie Henry, UMass Lowell (Sr., Springfield, MA) - Placed 11th overall in the triple jump at the NCAA Division II Track and Field Championship. Posted a distance of 38' 5.0'', falling just short of the final round.

Erick Colon, UMass Lowell (Sr., Methuen, MA) - Earned All-American honors in the 4X400 meter relay at the NCAA Division II Track and Field Championship. Led the foursome to seventh place with a time of 3:10.99.

Clint Cooper, UMass Lowell (Sr., Raynham, MA) - Earned All-American honors in the 4X400 meter relay at the NCAA Division II Track and Field Championship. Led the foursome to seventh place with a time of 3:10.99.

Jason Cebula, Southern Connecticut (Jr., White Plains, NY) - Took 8th in the 1500 meter run at the Division II National Championship meet with a time of 3:49.82.

Robert Keizer, Southern Connecticut (Jr., Great Neck, NY) - Finished 15th in the triple jump with a distance of 45.5 feet at the Division II National Championship meet.

Katherine Reynolds, Southern Connecticut (Jr., Hamden, CT) - Finished 14th in the hammer throw with a throw of 157 feet 8 inches at the Division II National Championship meet.

Justin Wood, Southern Connecticut (Gr., Sidney Center, NY) - Finished 10th in the 3,000 meter steeple chase with a time of 9:13.47 at the Division II National Championship meet.

Dana DeIngenis, Stonehill (Sr., Cranston, RI) - Finished career with a 10th place finish in the 1,500-meter race at the NCAA Division II Outdoor Championships, posting a time of 4:37.60.

Weekly Notes:

UMASS LOWELL: Nicole Plante become UMass Lowell’s first-ever outdoor national champion and second all-time. STONEHILL: Dana DeIngenis became one of four women in school history to compete in the NCAA championships in cross country, indoor track & outdoor track.
