Northeast-10 Men’s Track Athlete of the Week

Ryan Agnew, Bentley (Sr., Spencer, MA) - At the Raleigh Relays, provisionally qualified for the NCAA Div. II Championships in the 10,000 with a time of 31:00.02. Finished 23rd overall in a 41-runner field, and was fifth amongst Div. II runners. Was spiked about a half-mile into race, forcing him to stop to put shoe back on and costing him about 20 seconds.

Northeast-10 Women’s Track Athlete of the Week

Dana DeIngenis, Stonehill (Jr., Cranston, RI) - Took top honors in the 1,500 meters at the Northeastern Snowflake Classic with time of 4:48.23.

Northeast-10 Women’s Track Freshman of the Week

Melissa Nash, Bentley (Fr., Marshfield, MA) - At the Raleigh Relays, set an outdoor personal best in the 5,000 (18:58.05) and a PR in the 1,500 (4:59.55). Was 20th of 43, including second amongst Div. II runners, in the 5,000, and 46th of 81, including fifth amongst Div. II competitors, in the 1,500.

Northeast-10 Men’s Field Athlete of the Week

Dana Burbank, Stonehill (Jr., North Andover, MA) - Won high jump for the at Northeastern Snowflake Classic with mark of 6 feet, 2 inches.

Northeast-10 Women’s Field Athlete of the Week

Nicole Pankey, Assumption (Jr., Portsmouth, RI) - Won the triple jump with a distance of 10.11 meters (33’2”) at the Northeastern Snowflake Classic.

Northeast-10 Men’s Field Freshman of the Week

Chris Palmer, Stonehill (Fr., Fort Worth, TX) - Set school record in the triple jump at the Northeastern Snowflake Classic with mark of 43 feet, 2 3/4 inches.

Northeast-10 Weekly Honor Roll:  

MEN:  

PatrickBiggins, Assumption (Jr., Worcester, MA) - Finished second in the triple jump with a personal best distance of 12.81 meters (42’0.50”) at the Northeastern Snowflake Classic. 

Stephan Ramirez, Bentley (So., San Antonio, TX) - At the Raleigh Relays, set personal bests in both the 5,000 (15:17.08) and the 1500 (3:58.24). In the 5,000, was 14th of 85, including second amongst Div. II runner. In the seeded 1,500, as the only Div. II runner in the race, was 19th of 23 overall.

Dickie Gerry, Stonehill (So., Bow, NH) - Took top honors in the 800 meters at the Northeastern Snowflake Classic with time of 1:58.10 as the only runner to break the two minute mark in field.

Derek Hebert, Stonehill (Jr., Rockland, MA) - Posted pair of second place individual finishes in the 400 meters (50.29 seconds) and long jump (6.12 meters) at the Northeastern Snowflake Classic while running on a victorious 4 X 100 relay (43.03 seconds) and second-place 4 X 400 relay (3:29.96).

WOMEN:  

NicolePankey,Assumption(Jr., Portsmouth, RI) - Won the triple jump with a distance of 10.11 meters (33’2”) at the Northeastern Snowflake Classic.

Ashley Wallace,Pace (Jr., Oswego, NY) - Broke the school record in the 100 Meter Dash with a time of 14.13 and also finished 7th in the Shot Put with a distance of 11.03m (36'2.25") and 15th in the Discus Throw with a distance of 31.72m (104'1”).

Notes: 

BENTLEY: At the Raleigh Relays, senior Ryan Agnew (Spencer, Mass.) provisionally qualified for the NCAA Division II Championships with a time of 31:00.02… BRYANT: The Bryant men's and women's track and field teams were idle this past weekend and will return to action Saturday at the Rhode Island College Invitational. The Bulldogs will host the annual Bryant Invitational on Saturday, April 8… STONEHILL: Both Skyhawk teams enjoyed solid performances in the season opener at the Northeastern Snowflake Classic, with sophomore Dickie Gerry (Bow, N.H.) and junior Dana Burbank (North Andover, Mass.) taking top honors in the men's 800 meters and long jump, respectively...Freshman Chris Palmer (Fort Worth, Tex.) set a Stonehill record in the triple jump with a mark of 43 feet, 2 3/4 inches, while the men's 4 X 100 relay team took top honors in the event. Junior Derek Hebert (Rockland, Mass.) was the busiest athlete of the day on both sides for Stonehill, finishing second in a pair of events (400 meters and high jump) while running in a pair of relays...Sophomores Keith Gill (Brockton, Mass.) and Joe Ryan (Chelmsford, Mass.) ran 2-3 in the 1,500 meters as well for Stonehill. On the women's side, junior Dana DeIngenis (Cranston, R.I.) won the 1,500 meters, while fellow junior Colleen Burbank (Dedham, Mass.) returned home to place third in the triple jump for the Skyhawks.
