Northeast-10 Men's Track Athlete of the Week

Patrick Morasse, UMass Lowell (Sr., Lowell, MA) - Earned All-American honors in two events to cap his collegiate career at the NCAA Championship. Seeded fifth in the 1,500 meters, placed third in 4:02.39. Seeded 11th in the 800 meters, placed fourth in 1:55.90.

Northeast-10 Women's Track Athlete of the Week

Nicole Plante, UMass Lowell (Jr., North Adams, MA) - Earned All-American honors in two events at the NCAA Championship, placing third in the 10,000 meters (36:19.13) and fifth in the 5,000 meters (17:56.33). Helped UMass Lowell place in a tie for fifth in the team standings with 32 points.

Northeast-10 Men's Field Athlete of the Week

Robert Keizer, Southern Connecticut (Jr., Great Neck, NY) - At the NCAA Division II outdoor championships, placed ninth in the triple jump with a leap of 49 feet, two and one-half inches.

Northeast-10 Women's Field Athlete of the Week

Toni-Marie Henry, UMass Lowell (Jr., Springfield, MA) - Placed second in the triple jump and earned All-American honors at the NCAA Championship with a distance of 41' 11.25''. Shattered her own school record for the fifth time this season and helped UMass Lowell to a tie for fifth place in the team standings.

Northeast-10 Weekly Honor Roll:

Enjoli Edwards, UMass Lowell (Sr., Philadelphia, PA) - Seeded 17th, placed second in the shot put to earn All-American honors at the NCAA Championship. Threw a personal-best distance of 48' 8.0'' and helped the UML place in a tie for fifth in the team standings.

Esia Johnson, UMass Lowell (Sr., Lawrence, MA) - Placed sixth in the long jump at the NCAA Championship with a leap of 19' 4.0'' to earn All-American honors.

Thatcha DaCosta, Southern Connecticut (Jr., Englewood, NJ) - Earned All-America honors at the NCAA Division II outdoor championships by placing sixth in the triple jump with a leap of 41 feet, one and one-half inches.

Merline "Stacey" Egbert, Southern Connecticut (Jr., Danbury, CT) - At the NCAA Division II championships, finished fifth in the long jump (19-4.75) and seventh in the triple jump (40-11) to earn All-America standing in each event.

Northeast-10 Weekly Notes:

UMASS LOWELL: The UML women, with only five athletes competing in six events, placed a best-ever fifth in the team standings with 28 points. Adams State (CO) won the team title with 71 points while Lincoln (TN) University placed second with 70 points. Abilene Christian (TX) and Grand Valley State (MI) placed third and fourth with 68 and 42 points, respectively… SOUTHERN CONNECTICUT: Junior jumpers Merline "Stacey" Egbert and Thatcha DaCosta led the Owls at the NCAA Division II outdoor track and field championships at Emporia, Kansas. Egbert earned All-America honors in two events, placing fifth in the long jump (19-4.75) and seventh in the triple jump (40-11). DaCosta finished sixth in the triple jump (41-1.5) for Coach Jim Barber's Owls.
