MANSFIELD, Mass. - Folllowing a perfect 5-0 record during the month, the Assumption Women's Basketball team has been selected as the NE10 Team of the Month for December, 2016.
The Greyhounds were awarded the honor following a vote the NE10 conducted on its social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter), in which more than 800 people voted. The league received the higest number of votes since the inception of it's team of the month award last year.
Assumption received over half of the 862 total votes that were submitted, with the Adelphi Women's Basketball team finishing second with 21% of the votes.
During the month, Assumption won all five times they took to the court, including conference wins over Franklin Pierce, Saint Anselm, and Merrimack. The Hounds also knocked off Post and LIU Post in non-league play en route to their perfect 5-0 mark in December.

The NE10 is an association of 15 NCAA Division II colleges and universities located in New England and New York that is committed to supporting balanced academic and athletic opportunities for more than 6,500 student-athletes.
