Isaiah Moore

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Pace with League-High Three All-Conference Selections.

MANSFIELD, Mass. – Franklin Pierce guard Isaiah Moore has been selected as the Northeast-10 Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Year, as All-Conference awards were announced by the league office on Monday afternoon. Moore becomes just the second player from Franklin Pierce to ever receive the award.

The Ravens also netted Coach of the Year honors, as David Chadbourne was picked by his peers after leading Franklin Pierce to the No. 2 seed in the Northeast Division for the NE10 Men's Basketball Championship. New Haven's Majur Majak earned NE10 Defensive Player of the Year, while Saint Rose's Shane O'Dell finishes his stellar freshman campaign as NE10 Rookie of the Year.

Pace led all NE10 programs with three All-Conference selections – Bryan Powell on the First Team, and the duo of Brandon Jacobs and Brandon Powell on the Third Team. Six different teams were represented on the First Team, with Franklin Pierce's Moore headlining the group.

For a complete list of honorees, please see below. All-Conference teams are not based on position and are voted on by the league's head coaches.

Moore becomes the first Franklin Pierce player since Eric Jean-Guillaume in 2011-12 and 2012-13 to win NE10 Player of the Year. He averaged a league-best 22.8 points per game in conference play, while ranking second in assists with 5.8. Overall, Moore had eight games this season where he scored 25 or more points – including 30 points in a win over Saint Anselm on Feb. 16 – to help the Ravens finish second in the Northeast Division. He is a First Team All-Conference selection.

Majak was a force under the hoop for the Chargers this season, averaging an NE10-best 3.5 blocks per conference game, on his way to Defensive Player of the Year honors. The 7-1 center helped New Haven become the best scoring defense in the league, allowing only 62.7 points per game to opponents – a mark that is tied for seventh in all of Division II. His 8.8 rebounds per game ranked third in the Conference and one of his trademark performances was a nine-block effort in a win over Southern Connecticut on Feb. 16.

O'Dell had a superb freshman season for the Golden Knights, ranking fourth in the NE10 in scoring with 19.6 points per game against conference opponents, on his way to Rookie of the Year status. He had six double-doubles this season – including a sparkling 36-point, 14-rebound performance in a win over Saint Michael's on Jan. 13. O'Dell becomes the first Saint Rose player since Jack Jones (2014-15) to earn Rookie of the Year. He is also a Second Team All-Conference choice.

Chadbourne, now in his 23rd season as head coach at Franklin Pierce, earns NE10 Coach of the Year for the second time in his career – the first time in a decade (2011-12). Originally picked to finish sixth in the Northeast Division in the NE10 Men's Basketball Coaches' Polls, the Ravens defied expectations and earned the No. 2 seed in the Championship. Franklin Pierce was 12-7 in NE10 play this season – hitting the 12-win plateau for the first time since 2016-17.

The NE10 Men's Basketball Championship quarterfinals are scheduled for Monday night. Please visit Championship Central for the full bracket, schedule and team rosters. All games in the Championship can be viewed for free on NE10 NOW – the Conference's digital streaming platform.
