NE10 Player of the Week

Romar Reid, Saint Michael's
Senior l Guard l Mount Vernon, N.Y.

Reid averaged 21.5 points on 56.0% shooting during a 2-0 week, adding 4.0 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.0 steal while shooting 2-for-4 from three-point range and 13-for-18 on free throws. He notched 21 points on 6-of-12 shooting from the floor and 8-for-10 on freebies with four boards, five helpers and no turnovers in a 78-73 win over New Haven on Wednesday before collecting 22 points on 8-of-13 shooting with four rebounds, two assists and two steals in a 78-69 win at Southern Connecticut State on Saturday.

NE10 Rookie of the Week

Jah'Likai King, New Haven
Freshman | Guard | Newburgh, N.Y.

King led four Chargers who averaged double figures across two games last week with a team-best 22 points per game, including his third 25+ game of the year. For the week, King shot 56.3 percent from the field, connecting on 18-of-32, with a pair of three pointers and was 6-of-10 at the line. In addition to his scoring, King added nine rebounds, six assists and six steals combined across the two games.

NE10 Weekly Honor Roll

Elijah Lewis, Adelphi (So., G - Watchung, N.J.)
In a 2-0 week for Adelphi, Lewis led the scoring brigade with 22.5 points per contest on 56 percent shooting from the field (14-for-25). Additionally, he pulled down eight rebounds, dished out five assists, added two steals and garnered a block over the two games. In his best outing of the week, he landed six three pointers (on nine attempts) to score 34 points in a victory against Saint Anselm. He was a perfect 6-for-6 at the free throw line and shot 58 percent from the floor.

Justice Ellison, American Int'l (Jr., G/F - Windsor, Conn.)
Ellison put together a strong week for AIC as the team's leading scorer and rebounder. He put up 14 points against the Golden Knights in a 67-66 win and added 18 as the team nearly overcame a 19-point halftime deficit against New Haven. He also put up 6.5 rebounds per game and had a 1.7 assist to turnover ratio.

Kasey Draper, Assumption (Sr., F - Roanoke, Va.)
In 31 minutes of action at Bentley, Draper poured in 19 points on 62.5 percent from long range (5-of-8), and 4-for-4 from the charity stripe.

Zach Laput, Bentley (Sr., G - Beacon Falls, Conn.)
Laput led Bentley to wins over Assumption and Saint Rose by averaging 20 points, 8.5 rebounds and five assists. The conference's number two scorer finished with 25 points, 13 rebounds and five assists against the Greyhounds and followed with 15 points, five assists and four boards against the Golden Knights. Laput shot 43 percent overall, made 5 of 13 from three and knocked down 11 of 12 free throws.

Tyler Saint-Furcy, New Haven (Sr., F - Inwood, N.Y.)
One of four players to average double figures across the two games last week, Saint-Furcy did so while shooting 65 percent from the field, connecting on 13-of-20 from the field for an average of 15 points per game. Arguably his biggest shot of the week came with four seconds remaining to ink the road victory over American International. In addition to his 15 ppg, Saint-Furcy added 4 rebounds per, 1.5 assists per game and 2.5 steals per game, including five steals on the road against Saint Michael's.

Sean Bresnan, Pace (Sr., F - Yonkers, N.Y.)
Bresnan turned in two strong offensive performances to help lead Pace to a 2-0 week. Against Franklin Pierce, Bresnan shot 50 percent from the field and from beyond the arc to finish with 18 points. Against SNHU, he continued to be efficient, shooting 66.7 percent from the field, including connecting on a career-high six triples for a game-high 23 points while hauling in six rebounds. He averaged 20.5 points while shooting 56.5 from the field and 58.8 from deep.

Sean McCarthy, Saint Anselm (Jr., F - Cork, Ireland)
McCarthy was the top scorer in both games this week for Saint Anselm dropping a total of 48 points including his third double-double of the season. He shot 18-for-31 on the floor for a 58.1 shooting percentage and knocked down two of three triples (66.7%) on Saturday against Adelphi University. McCarthy wrapped up the week by posting 19 total rebounds, one assist, three steals, and a block.

Josh McGettigan, Southern Conn. St. (Sr., F - Southbury, Conn.)
In a 1-1 week, Josh McGettigan averaged a team-high 22.5 points with 8.0 rebounds. Against Saint Anselm in a 86-75 win, McGettigan had 17 points and eight rebounds. Against Saint Michael's, McGettigan posted 28 points with eight boards.

Derrick Grant, Southern N.H. (Jr., F - Plainfield, N.J.)
Grant posted 17.5 points and 8.0 rebounds per game during an 0-2 week for SNHU, while knocking down 57.1 percent (12-21) of his shot from the floor and going 11-for-16 from the stripe. Grant notched 13 points (6-11 FG, 1-1 FT) and eight boards in an 84-81 loss at Adelphi on Wednesday, and then recorded a career-high 22 points (6-10 FG, 10-15 FT) and seven rebounds.
