Ryan Fillebrown, Assumption
Senior | Ayer, Mass.
Fillebrown lifted Assumption to a first-place finish at the Saint Anselm Spring Invitational over the weekend. He placed first overall and earned medalist honors, shooting a one-over 143. He shot a 71 in round one and a 72 in round two to lead all golfers.
NE10 Rookie of the Week
Sean Magarian, Assumption
Freshman | Worcester, Mass.
Magarian tied for second place at the Saint Anselm Spring Invitational over the weekend. He shot a 73 in round one and a 74 in round two for a five-over 147 overall. His second place individual finish helped Assumption earn first place in the tournament.
NE10 Weekly Honor Roll
Tommy Ethier, Bentley (Sr. - Nashua, N.H.)
Ethier tied for second in the Saint Anselm Invitational and tied for third in the Mike Bello Invitational while posting an average score of 73.0. He was 5-over-par at the Saint Anselm Invitational with a 71-76-147 on the Oaks Golf Links in Somersworth, N.H. In the Mike Bello Invitational in Baldwinsville, N.Y., Ethier recorded a one-over 71-74-145.
Dylan Plis, Franklin Pierce (Sr. - Camillus, N.Y.)
Plis tied for second at the Saint Anselm Spring Invitational. The senior totaled a 147 (+5) scorecard including a 71 (E) second round. Plis ranked second in the field of golfers in pars (26).
Drew Semons, Saint Anselm (So. - Danvers, Mass.)
Semons turned in a first-round score of 76 before finishing with a 75 for a two-round total of 151, placing seventh in the Saint Anselm Spring Invitational. Against the crowded field, Semons came away with the day's lone eagle, holing out from 125 yards on the 10th hole. Additionally, Semons was a plus-one on par three's, ranking among the top four golfers in that metric.
