Two NE-10 Ice Hockey Players Named Semifinalists for Joe Concannon Hockey AwardMarch 07, 2006Junior defenseman Brett Smith (Hudson, MA) is one of two Division II players on the list of candidates. A three-year starter for St. Anselm College, Smith has posted eleven goals and twenty-six assists in leading the Hawks to their second consecutive Northeast-10 Conference championship. Brendan O?Brien (Braintree, MA) led the Skyhawks in scoring with ten goals and thirty-two assists as Stonehill posted the school?s second highest win total.

Saint Anselm Hockey Repeats as Northeast-10 Tournament ChampionsMarch 04, 2006Tournament Most Valuable Player Josh Hechter (Winnipeg, Manitoba) scored two goals, including the game-winner, to lead second-seeded Saint Anselm College to a 5-3 victory over top-seeded Southern New Hampshire University here tonight in the championship game of the Northeast-10 Conference Tournament.

2005-2006 Northeast-10 Ice Hockey All Conference Teams AnnouncedMarch 03, 2006Saint Michael's College junior forward Jared Silver has been selected as the Northeast-10 Conference Ice Hockey "Player of the Year," as voted upon by the six conference coaches. Silver finished the regular season with 42 points, including 32 assists, both league-highs in the Northeast-10 and the ECAC Men's East. He netted 10 goals in 25 games. Silver is the first Purple Knight to receive the Northeast-10 Player of the Year Award.
