Assumption and Saint Michael's Earn First Round Byes.
MANSFIELD, Mass. – Assumption clinched the Northeast-10 Conference regular season title and the top seed in the upcoming Ice Hockey Championship, as the league office announced the bracket on Sunday afternoon. It is the first regular season championship for the Greyhounds since 2019-20 and the second overall for the program.
Both Assumption (23-7, 16-4 NE10) and Saint Michael's (15-13, 13-7 NE10) earned first round byes as the top seeds in the NE10 Championship, while the other four teams will be in action on Tuesday. No. 3-seeded Southern New Hampshire will host No. 6-seeded Post, while No. 4-seeded Franklin Pierce will play No. 5-seeded Saint Anselm.
Assumption earned 45 points in conference games this season, including a season-best stretch of nine consecutive wins from Nov. 10 to Jan. 13. The Greyhounds are led by the NE10's top scorer in Ronny Paragallo, who leads the conference in goals (23), assists (21) and points (44). Under head coach Michael Looney, Assumption seeks its second NE10 Championship in the past three seasons, with its most recent title coming in 2022.
Saint Michael's finished the regular season with 34 points and earned a first round bye with a two-game sweep of Post on the final weekend. The Purple Knights look to avenge last year's loss in the NE10 Championship final and win their first conference title since 2009. Goaltender Cole Manahan leads the NE10 in goals against average (2.66) and save percentage (.937).

The first round is scheduled for Tuesday, while the semifinals will be on Saturday, February 24, and the final on Saturday, March 2. The higher-seeded team will host each round of the Championship.
All rounds of the NE10 Championship will be streamed live on NE10 NOW - the conference's digital streaming platform.
Postseason admission in all rounds of NE10 winter championships will be $10 for adults, $5 for seniors and children. Current NE10 students, with valid ID, will be admitted free of charge.
