Northeast-10 Student-Athletes Set to Compete at 2015 NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships

Fourty-Two Athletes Represent NE-10 at NCAA Championships

MANSFIELD, Mass. – Qualifiers for the 2015 NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field Championships were released on Thursday with 42 student-athletes from seven Northeast-10 institutions receiving invitations. Action is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. on Friday, March 13 and will run through Saturday, March 14 from Birmingham, Ala.

Adelphi, American International, New Haven, Southern Connecticut and Stonehill will be represented in both the men's and women's events. Franklin Pierce will also have representatives on the men's side, while Merrimack will be represented on the women's side.

New Haven's Ada Udaya, the Northeast-10 Women's Indoor Track Athlete of the Year, will be competing in three events – 60-meter dash, 200-meter dash and 4x400 meter relay. NE-10 Men's Indoor Track Athlete of the Year Michael Biwott of NE-10 Champion American Int'l will compete in the 3000- and 5000-meter runs.

The Northeast-10 Field Athletes of the Year, So. Connecticut's Michael Lee and Michelle Grecni, will compete in the field events. Lee will participate in the men's triple jump, while Grecni will compete in the women's pole vault.

Maria Curit of NE-10 Champion Stonehill will compete in three events as well, taking part in the 800-meter run, 4x400 and distance medley relay. American Int'l and Stonehill will partake in the men's distance medley relay. On the women's side, Stonehill will participate in both the 4x400 and distance medley relay, while New Haven and So. Connecticut will partake in the 4x400.

The Northeast-10 Conference is an association of 15 NCAA Division II colleges and universities located in New England and New York that is committed to supporting balanced academic and athletic opportunities for more than 6,500 student-athletes.
