WORCESTER, Mass. - The Assumption College men's soccer team has raised and donated over $1,000 to the Great Strides Cystic Fibrosis Foundation following the 2014 fall season.
The Hounds worked together with the Great Strides Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and the Agape Latte group to support and raise awareness for cystic fibrosis throughout various efforts during the fall.
On Sept. 27, the Greyhounds hosted Franklin Pierce at the Assumption College Multi-Sport Stadium where the Hounds wore special purple jerseys during the match to raise awareness and support the cause.
Members of the Boston Breakers Academy U11 West Elite and Premier girls' soccer teams also joined the Hounds, and the Ravens, on the field for team introductions prior to the start of the "Kick CF" match.
Assumption organized events to raise funds for the foundation including the selling of "Kick CF" bracelets at the game, along with raffling a special team-signed purple jersey to fans. All profits were donated to the Great Strides Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

The Northeast-10 Conference is an association of 15 NCAA Division II colleges and universities located in New England and New York that is committed to supporting balanced academic and athletic opportunities for more than 6,500 student-athletes.
