Zoolkoski Named Head Field Hockey Coach at American International CollegeMay 30, 2006Julie Zoolkoski has been named head field hockey coach at American International College, it was announced Tuesday. A 2003 graduate of The College of William and Mary, Zoolkoski was a three-year starter in field hockey for the Tribe.

UMass Lowell Wins NCAA Division II Field Hockey National ChampionshipNovember 13, 2005It took two overtime periods and more than ninety minutes to decide a national champion in the NCAA Division II Field Hockey National Championship game, as the River Hawks from the University of Massachusetts Lowell earned a 2-1 victory over the Huskies of Bloomsburg University on Sunday afternoon at Shippensburg University. It is the first NCAA Division II Field Hockey championship for the River Hawks, who lost to the Huskies in the 2003 championship game by a score of 4-1. Massachusetts Lowell (20-3) opened the scoring at 8:08 in the first half, capitalizing on a strong offensive rush. After maneuvering through two defenders, senior Courtney Hill sent a crossing pass that was sent into the net by junior Sara Hohenberger for her team-leading 24th goal of the season...

Stonehill Claims Northeast-10 Field Hockey Championship 2-1 in OvertimeOctober 30, 2005Stonehill sophomore midfielder Aly Boulis (Lincoln, RI) scored the game-winning goal in the 84th minute win the Northeast-10 Tournament, 2-1, over UMass Lowell at Cushing Field. Stonehill jumped out to an early 1-0 lead when Caitlin Gleason (New Boston, NH) converted a Kelly Latendresse (Sidney, ME) pass in the fifth minute. It was the second time this weekend that Gleason and Latendresse combined for the Skyhawks, as the pair was responsible for yesterday?s game winner in Stonehill?s 1-0 victory over Bentley in the semifinals. Boulis, named the tournament MVP, was joined by teammate Latendresse on the 2005 Northeast-10 All-Tournament team while Sara Hohenberger represented the River Hawks.
