Men's Tennis Championship

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Dolphins Win NE10 Regular Season Title.

MANSFIELD, Mass. – Le Moyne earned the top seed in the upcoming Northeast-10 Conference Men's Tennis Championship, as announced by the league office on Thursday night, after posting a perfect 8-0 record in conference play and clinching the NE10 regular season title.

As announced on April 1, all NE10 teams will qualify for postseason play. For seedings and matchups for the 2021 NE10 Men's Tennis Championship, please see the schedule below for dates and times of the first round, semifinals and championship final.

Le Moyne's regular season title snaps a stretch of four-straight for Southern New Hampshire. The Dolphins will receive a first-round bye and await the winner of the No. 4-5 matchup in the semifinals on Tuesday, April 27, as they seek their first NE10 title in program history.

SNHU is the second seed after a 7-1 record in NE10 play, while Franklin Pierce is third with a 5-1 mark. The Penmen are four-time reigning league champions and edged Le Moyne for the top spot in the NE10 Men's Tennis Coaches' Poll before the start of the season.

The first round of the NE10 Championship is Saturday, April 24. Fourth-seeded Adelphi will host fifth-seeded Bentley for the right to play Le Moyne. SNHU hosts Saint Michael's and Franklin Pierce welcomes Stonehill, with the winners set to face one another in the semifinals.

Conference winning percentage was the metric used to determine championship seeding, as not all teams played the same number of contests due to COVID-19 protocol.

The NE10 Championship match will be hosted by the highest remaining seed on Saturday, May 1. Time is to be determined.

Stay tuned for weather-related updates @TheNortheast10 on Twitter. Match times are always subject to change due to inclement weather and indoor court availability.

All matches may be impacted by the conference's COVID-19 protocols, but no bracket adjustments will be made after Thursday evening. If a team is not available to play, it will be recorded as a "No Contest" and their opponent will advance to the next round.
