SNHU, Franklin Pierce and Adelphi Moving On.
MANSFIELD, Mass. – All high seeds advanced in the first round of the Northeast-10 Conference Men's Tennis Championship on Saturday afternoon, as No. 2 Southern New Hampshire, No. 3 Franklin Pierce and No. 4 Adelphi punched their ticket to Tuesday's semifinals.
SNHU will host Franklin Pierce on Tuesday at 1 p.m., while Adelphi travels to play top-seeded Le Moyne at 2 p.m. The Penmen and Ravens split the season series (1-1), while the Dolphins swept the Panthers in three meetings.

Junior Fernando Torres clinched the match with a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 4 singles, as the second-seeded Southern New Hampshire men's tennis team blanked No. 7 Saint Michael's, 4-0, Saturday afternoon in an NE10 Championship first round contest at the Penmen Stadium Tennis Courts.
Torres blanked Tyler Whitney, 6-0, 6-0, at No. 4 singles to earn the win for the Penmen. He also combined with senior Guido Janssen to double-up Whitney and Connor Scott, 6-3, at No. 2 to clinch the doubles point.
Freshman Sam Goddard made quick work of Luke Ramsay, 6-0, 6-0, at No. 5 singles, while sophomore Noah Dubitzky also posted a 6-0, 6-0 victory against Jack Gunning at No. 6 singles.
(3) Franklin Pierce 4, (6) Stonehill 0 – Box Score
The trio of Kevin Denecheau, Ivan Bernal and Joel Cladera led third-seeded Franklin Pierce to a 4-0 victory over sixth-seeded Stonehill in the first round of the NE10 Men's Tennis Championship on Saturday.
Denecheau beat Stonehill's Russel White at No. 2 singles, 6-3, 7-5, while Bernal defeated Trent Newman at No. 3, 6-3, 6-1. Cladera gave up only one game to Vincent Huynh at No. 4 singles, 6-1, 6-0, in a victory.
Denecheau and Bernal also teamed up at No. 2 doubles for a 6-1 win over White and Luke Nickerson. The Ravens clinched the doubles point when Yuval Barak and Nkrumah Patrick beat Newman and Ben Simmons, 7-5.
(4) Adelphi 4, (5) Bentley 2 – Box Score
With a win at No. 1 singles and doubles, Gabriel Balestero helped lead fourth-seeded Adelphi to a 4-2 victory against fifth-seeded Bentley on Saturday afternoon in the first round of the NE10 Men's Tennis Championship.
Balestero beat Connor Aulson, 6-1, 6-4, at No. 1 singles, and teamed up with Valentin Le Goupil-Maier for a No. 1 doubles win against Mauricio Fadul Rubod and Alexander Novins, 6-2. Luke Attride-Stirling and Salomon Arce Lema earned wins at No. 4 and 5 singles, respectively, for the Panthers.
Adelphi clinched the doubles point at No. 2, as Lema and Pietro Sole beat Max Bonte and Jordan Soifer in a tiebreak, 7-6 (7-5).
The match was played at USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing, N.Y.
