NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Assumption, the defending champions in women's swimming, extended their lead with another impressive evening at the Hutchinson Natatorium on the campus of Southern Connecticut State.

Live championship results can be found at the link above for all the action during the four days of championship action, and the NE-10 will also be providing real-time updates on its Twitter account, which can be found here

The championship culminates tomorrow night with the evening session beginning at 6 p.m.

Assumption swimmers claimed four of the five individual evening events, and also posted a win in the 200 freestyle relay to cap off an impressive performance during Saturday's nights action. Southern Connecticut maintains a lead on the men's side, but Bentley remains close behind following Day Three of the Four-Day event.

The evening was capped off by the first 'pool' record of the meet (as well as a new NE-10 mark) as Southern Connecticut's 200 freestyle relay completed the event in a time of 1:22.56. The time was nearly a full second faster than the previous record of 1:23.34, which was set at last year's championship - also by Southern Connecticut.
