WORCESTER, Mass. - The Assumption Women's team and the Southern Connecticut Men's team repeated, once again, as NE-10 Champions as the 2016 Conference Championship meet came to a close Sunday night at Worcester Polytechnic Institute.

It's the 6th straight title for the Owls, pictured at the left, and their 14th Northeast-10 Championship in the last 15 years, meanwhile, it's the third straight crown for the Greyhounds.

Four more recods fell on the final night of the 2016 Championships, including the Southern Connecticut men's and women's teams breaking records in the 400 yard freestyle relay. The men's team of Brendan Murphy, Tyler Vander Vos, Raymond Snyder, and Raymond Cswerko shattered the old mark by more than four seconds and finished in a time of 3:01.24.

Assumption defeated Southern Connecticut on the women's side by 36.5 points, while Southern Connecticut cruised to victory over Bentley on the men's side.

Le Moyne's Josh Byrne was named the Northeast-10 Conference Men's Diving Most Valuable Athlete for the fourth straight year as he won the 3m event and finished second on the 1m. Bentley's Nicola Mancini swept both diving events on the women's side to earn the women's honor. It's the third time she's earned the recognition at the Conference Championships.
