Where to begin when it comes to Brenna Martini?

A three-time NE10 Player of the Year selection. A two-time NFCA First Team All-American. And that's just the tip of the iceberg.

Martini's on-field play sent shockwaves through the conference and the region. Her presence ultimately helped lead the Adelphi softball team to two NE10 Championships and a pair of NCAA Division II Women's College World Series appearances.

Martini remains the only softball player in the conference's 40-year history to earn NE10 Player of the Year honors three consecutive years (2016, 2017, 2018). She was also named the NE10 Woman of the Year and earned the conference's nomination for NCAA Woman of the Year in 2018.

Aside from holding several offensive statistical records at Adelphi, Martini owns the conference's career records for home runs (54), RBIs (227) and walks (159), and ranks among the league's Top 10 leaders all-time in hits, runs scored and doubles.

And she always came through when it mattered most.

In 2015, the Panthers captured their first-ever NCAA Division II East Region Championship, behind a two-game sweep of SNHU in the Super Regional.

Martini, a first-year player at the time, lined a go-ahead RBI double in the 15th inning of Game 1 and hit a game-winning grand slam in Game 2 to deliver Adelphi its first regional trophy.

The Fairfield, Conn. native's debut campaign saw her record a .400 batting average and lead the conference in home runs and RBIs, en route to being named the NE10 Rookie of the Year. Additionally, Martini was tabbed as a finalist for the NFCA Division II National Freshman of the Year award.

Martini concluded her career as one of the most decorated student-athletes in not only the program's history, but the school's, as well.

She was a two-time ECAC Player of the Year and CoSIDA Academic All-American and finished as a Top 10 finalist for the Schutt Sports/NFCA Division II National Player of the Year honor in 2017.

Martini posted a .412 career average with 254 hits, 56 doubles, 10 triples, 54 home runs and 227 RBIs -- all while maintaining a 3.83 cumulative grade-point average in the classroom as an undergraduate.

Martini graduated from Adelphi in 2018 with her bachelor's degree in Physical Education and recently completed her master's in Sport Management with a specialization in College Athletic Administration. She enters her third season as an assistant coach with Adelphi's softball program in 2021.
