NE10 Honors 72 Student-Athletes on Winter Academic All-Conference Teams

MANSFIELD, Mass. – On Thursday afternoon, the Northeast-10 Conference announced its Academic All-Conference teams for the 2023-24 winter season, as the league recognized 72 outstanding student-athletes from seven sports for their academic and athletic excellence.

To be eligible for selection to NE10 Academic All-Conference teams, a student-athlete must have met or exceeded the following minimum requirements:

  • Started in at least half or played in at least two-thirds of the team's competitions as a significant contributor.
  • Achieved a 3.30 cumulative grade-point average (GPA) or better on a 4.0 scale.

11 of 12 NE10 institutions had at least one student-athlete selected to the Academic All-Conference teams, as well as both associate members. For a full list of honorees, please CLICK HERE.

Bentley and Southern Connecticut tied for a league-high 12 selections. Bentley's earned three selections in both women's swimming & diving and men's indoor track & field, while SCSU's biggest output was five honorees in men's indoor track & field. Adelphi and Franklin Pierce tied for third with 10 selections each, while Southern New Hampshire was fifth with six. 

Men's and women's indoor track & field led all winter sports with 14 student-athletes honored, respectively, while men's and women's swimming & diving each had 11. Women's basketball had 10 honorees, ice hockey had seven and men's basketball had five. 

Among the 72 student-athletes, 22 of them are being honored for the second time and just five are being recognized as Academic All-Conference for the third time in their careers for winter sports - including Adelphi's Isabel Marsh (women's indoor track & field), Bentley's Finn Power (men's indoor track & field), Franklin Pierce's Connor Everidge (men's indoor track & field), Franklin Pierce's Ryan Walker (men's indoor track & field) and Southern New Hampshire's Matt Becht (men's basketball). 

The NE10 also had six Player of the Year award winners on the Academic All-Conference teams: Adelphi's Katherine Marsh (Women's Indoor Track Athlete of the Year), Franklin Pierce's Anna Badosa Soler (Women's Basketball Defensive Player of the Year), Franklin Pierce's Briahna Bouchard (Women's Indoor Field Athlete of the Year), Pace's Sean Rorke (Men's Diver of the Year), Saint Michael's David Ciancio (Ice Hockey Co-Defensive Player of the Year) and Southern Connecticut's Justice Glasgow (Co-Women's Swimmer of the Year).
