NE10 Player of the Week
Maeve Murphy, Saint Anselm
Junior | Forward | Scituate, Mass.
Across two games to begin the 2021 season, Maeve Murphy scored two goals and two assists for six points (2-2=6) and ended up with the game-winning goal against New Haven on Sunday. She posted two goals and an assist versus the Chargers, having a hand in three of her team's four goals on the afternoon.
NE10 Goalkeeper of the Week
Kylie Gargiulo, Assumption
Junior | Goalkeeper | Madison, Conn.
Garguilo made 20 saves over two games in net for the Hounds this weekend. She made 13 saves in a 2-1 setback to West Chester and made seven stops in a 1-0 shut out over East Stroudsburg. She sits at a 1-1 record, with a .909 save percentage.
NE10 Defensive Player of the Week
Andrea Caradonna, Stonehill
Junior | Defense | Lynnfield, Mass
Led the defensive effort in front of goal as the No. 10 Skyhawks posted a 1-0 shutout victory over No. 2-ranked East Stroudsburg in their lone game of the Week. Caradonna and the Stonehill backline limited ESU to just eight of their shots making their way on target, while also successfully defending eight corners.
NE10 Rookie of the Week
Raegan Hickey, Stonehill
Sophomore | Forward | Greenfield, Mass.
Made the most of her delayed collegiate debut, netting the lone goal late in the fourth quarter to lift the No. 10-ranked Skyhawks to a 1-0 victory over No. 2 East Stroudsburg in their lone game of the opening weekend. Her first career goal came with 7:44 to play in regulation and she collected a rebound on the near post and fired the winner into the left side of the cage.
NE10 Weekly Honor Roll
Giana McKeough, Adelphi (Jr., F - Carle Place, N.Y.)
Giana had three points in Adelphi's 2-1 victory over New Haven on Thursday. She assisted on the first goal and then notched the go-ahead goal in the fourth quarter.
Amanda Montiel, Adelphi (So., GK, - Manorville, N.Y.)
Montiel recorded five saves and only gave up one goal in Adelphi's season-opener at New Haven.
Isabel Primack, Assumption (Sr., F/M - Ipswich, Mass.)
Primack put the winning goal in net for the Hounds on Sunday. She found the back of the net at the start of the third period off a pass from Mia Salah for the 1-0 lead and final victory over East Stroudsburg.
Mia Trottie, Bentley (Fr., GK - Cinnaminson, N.J.)
Trottie made nine saves in her collegiate debut to lead Bentley to a 2-1 win over Bloomsburg, the first in 11 all-time meetings for the Falcons against the Huskies. Overall, during a 1-1 week, she totaled 18 saves, had a 2.28 GAA and a .783 save percentage. She matched her opening day nine saves in a 4-1 loss to No. 1 and defending national champion West Chester.
Lily Sherry, Mercy (Jr, F - Brick, N.J.)
Sherry scored the game-winning goal in the 15th minute of action to lead Mercy to a 1-0 win over Molloy on Sunday.
Krista Dietz, Pace (Fr., M/F - Mahopac, N.Y.)
Dietz led Pace in points last week as the Setters began 2021 with a pair of victories.The freshman's top performance came on Saturday with two goals and an assist during a 7-0 triumph over AIC.
Grace Henderson, Pace (Sr., GK - Kingswood, South Australia)
Henderson put together a pair of clean sheets for the Setters last week. The senior keeper tallied six saves across two shutout efforts against Saint Thomas Aquinas College and American International College.
Sidney Falterer, Saint Anselm (Fr., GK - Fairfield, Conn.)
Making her collegiate debut, Falterer made eight saves on nine shots against New Haven on Sunday. She joins her teammate Mackenzie McConnell (Concord Twp., Maine) in having claimed a victory in her first appearance in a Saint Anselm uniform. With an eight-save debut, Falterer posted the most saves by a Hawks goalkeeper in her collegiate debut since Katherine Sears '17 halted eight shots against American Int'l on Oct. 5, 2013.
Jenna Puleo, St. Michael's (Sr., F/M - Essex Junction, Vt.)
Senior Jenna Puleo scored twice against No. 5 Kutztown on Sunday, becoming the first opponent to score multiple times against the 2019 NCAA Tournament Final Four qualifier since 2018. The Purple Knights lost 10-2 and also fell at Mansfield, 6-0, on Saturday during the Mounties' Dr. Art DeGenaro Classic.
Abigail Campbell, Stonehill (Sr, G - Norfolk, Mass.)
Posted a seven save shutout in her first career start to lead the No. 10-ranked Skyhawks to a 1-0 triumph over No. 2-ranked East Stroudsburg in their lone game of the week on Saturday. She made five of her career-high seven saves in the first half to keep the match scoreless as the Skyhawks would grab a late winner in regulation.
