NE10 Player of the Week
Mia Salah, Assumption
Junior | Forward | Gloucester, Mass.
Salah has continued her torrent pace, as she recorded three goals in two games. At Southern Connecticut, she scored one goal on three shots before potting a pair of scores at Mercy. Salah currently leads the NE10 in both goals per game (1.5) and points per game (3.5).
NE10 Defensive Player of the Week
Francesca Manzella, Adelphi
Junior | Defense | Holtsville, N.Y.
On top of leading the Panther defense, Manzella scored the double overtime winner on Tuesday vs. #10 Pace. This was her first goal of the season and gave Adelphi their first top-10 win of the season.
NE10 Goalkeeper of the Week
Riley O'Connor, Saint Michael's
Junior | Goalkeeper | Canton, Mass.
O'Connor made 13 saves in a 1-0 victory at AIC on Wednesday, including six stops in the fourth quarter. The 13 saves were the most by an NE10 goalkeeper in a shutout this season.
NE10 Rookie of the Week
Marta Brzoska, Assumption
Freshman | Midfield | Auburn, Mass.
Brzoska recorded three goals in two games this past week for the Greyhounds. At Southern Connecticut, she recorded her first multi-point performance with a pair of goals. On Friday at Mercy, Brzoska recorded her fifth goal of the year.
NE10 Weekly Honor Roll
Amanda Lee, Adelphi (Jr., M - Stony Brook, N.Y.)
Lee scored three goals over Adelphi's two games during the week. Her first two came in the Panthers' upset victory over #10 Pace, where the junior had a solo breakaway and a deflection off a penalty corner. Her final goal came against SNHU where she deflected in another shot off a penalty corner to tie the game early.
Taylor Wildes, American Int'l (Gr., G - Biddeford, Me.)
Wildes was AIC's best player in a 1-1 week, stopping 18 of 20 shots that she faced across the two games. In particular, she stole a win at St. Thomas Aquinas, stopping 13 shots in a 2-1 victory.
Paige Gillette, Assumption (Jr., GK - Andover, Mass.)
Gillette extended her shutout streak to 194:31 as she blanked both Southern Connecticut and Mercy in two road wins this week. At Southern, She recorded four stops before stopping three at Mercy. Gillette now leads the NE10 with three clean sheets.
Lida Coco, Bentley (Jr., F - Litchfield, Conn.)
Coco scored the game-winning goal in overtime at New Haven. It was her first goal of the season.
Kelly Rosenfeld, Mercy (Sr., M - Massapequa, N.Y.)
Rosenfeld had a game-high six points on two goals and two assists in Mercy's 5-1 win over Molloy on Wednesday.
Abby Breznyak, Saint Anselm (Jr., M - Oakland, Me.)
Breznyak had an impressive week for the Hawks posting her first career game-winner against Bentley on Wednesday to cement the 1-0 defeat over the Falcons. She also produced a season-high 4 shots in the game with three on target. On Saturday, Breznyak added another shot to contribute to the Hawks 15 total shots against No. 10 nationally ranked Pace and help Saint Anselm improve to a 3-0 record in league play.
Emma Peeters, Southern N.H. (So., GK - Wageningen, Netherlands)
In two SNHU wins, Peeters stopped 11 of 12 shots (.917). She beat Franklin Pierce 1-0 in overtime and then won 3-1 over Adelphi on Saturday to improve to 3-3 on the season.
Emma Thibodeau, Southern N.H. (Sr., F/M - Danvers, Mass.)
Thibodeau had a goal and an assist in the first quarter to help lead SNHU to a 3-1 Saturday over defending NE10 champion Adelphi. Thibodeau's goal was her first of the season and seventh of her career.
