Hooksett, N.H. – Head CoachEd Seney earned his 300th career victory as the Saint Anselm College men's ice hockey team posted a 7-1 victory over Southern New Hampshire University Tuesday evening at the Ice Den. With the victory, the Hawks improve to 4-3-1 on the season while the Penmen fall to 1-9-1 overall on the year.
Seney, in his 10th season with Saint Anselm College, now holds a career record of 300-287-37.
Prior to his tenure behind the bench at Saint Anselm, Seney was the head coach of what is now SUNY Potsdam for 14 years, accumulating a record of 169-187-16 with the Bears.
Since joining the Hawks, Seney holds a 131-101-17 record (.560), ranking second all-time in program history in winning percentage.
A graduate of New England College in 1981, Seney served as an assistant coach at his alma-mater prior to serving as an assistant coach at Norwich University and Clarkson University.
A three-time SUNYAC Coach of the Year at Potsdam, Seney has also won Northeast-10 Conference Coach of the Year three times, while piloting the Hawks to four Northeast-10 Conference championship titles. In addition, Seney has reached the championship game in nine of his 10 seasons.
