NE10 Player of the Week
Eamon Hall, Adelphi
Senior | Attack | Massapequa, N.Y.
In a top-10 contest, No. 5 Adelphi saw two-third of its goals come from Eamon Hall in a 12-9 victory at No. 9 Bentley. With just 10 shots, Hall scored eight times, and capitalized on two man-up possessions for the Panthers.
NE10 Defensive Player of the Week
Kyle Piersiak, Bentley
Sophomore | LSM | Needham, Mass.
Piersiak totaled 10 caused turnovers and nine ground balls in two games against nationally ranked opponents. He had a monster game against #5 Adelphi with seven caused turnovers and five ground balls. Earlier in the week at Frostburg he had three caused turnovers, four ground balls and helped the Bentley defense hold #18 Frostburg to just six goals. Piersiak also added a goal himself in the 2nd quarter.
NE10 Goalkeeper and Rookie of the Week
Shaden Shields, American Int'l
Freshman | Goalkeeper | Naples, Fla.
Shields was incredible in net for AIC against NE10 foe Assumption, racking up 27 saves and posting a .730 save percentage in the conference-opening contest. The 27 saves are the second most in DII this season and the fourth most in all of collegiate lacrosse at any level.
NE10 Weekly Honor Roll
Dylan Renner, Adelphi (Sr., GK - Roslyn Heights, N.Y.)
Dylan Renner was the last line of defense for Adelphi in a 12-9 win over No. 9 Bentley and held the Falcons to their lowest scoring output this season of nine goals. He collected 14 saves, including three in the final quarter.
Reis Bower, American Int'l (Fr., Def - American Int'l)
Bower was a one-man wall in AIC's NE10 opener, forcing seven turnovers and collecting five ground balls in the matchup with Assumption.
Cameron Theriault, Assumption (Jr., Atk - Westfield, Mass.)
Theriault recorded six goals in two games this week. At Georgian Court on Wednesday, the Westfield, Mass. native recorded four goals on six shots as Assumption rallied to defeat the Lions 12-11. Theriault capped off the week with two goals at American International College as the Greyhounds opened NE10 action with a 10-8 win over the Yellow Jackets.
Preston Kral, Pace (Jr., Mid - Orange, N.J.)
Kral fired five goals in No. 11 Pace's 20-8 win over the College of Saint Rose. He scored the five goals on six shots.
Nick Larsen, Saint Anselm (Sr., Northborough, Mass.)
Larsen scored five goals and dished out one assist for six points to help Saint Anselm defeat nationally ranked Mercyhurst University, 18-10, on Monday. Larsen's five goals and six points against the Lakers marked new career highs for the senior. His performance on Monday places him third on the team in both goals (7) and points (12) so far this season.
Cam Smith, Saint Rose (Sr., Atk - West Springfield, Mass.)
Smith tallied five goals and four assists for nine points in two games this week for the Golden Knights. His best play came in Wednesday's three-goal, three-assist effort versus Caldwell. Smith also scooped four ground balls in the win over the Lions.
Rocky Grillone, Saint Michael's (Sr., LSM - Brockton, Mass.)
Grillone picked up five ground balls while causing four turnovers in a 12-11 win against Southern New Hampshire on Friday.
Gennaro Marra, SNHU (Gr., FO - Hampsteas, N.H.)
SNHU Face-off Specialist Gennaro Marra established a new NE10 career mark for ground balls in Friday's game at Saint Michael's College. Marra had 12 ground balls and went 18-for-26 on face-offs against the Purple Knights.
Ronan DePaul, SNHU (Sr., GK - Elkton, Md.)
Senior Ronan DePaul made 18 saves and collected four ground balls in SNHU's 12-11 setback at Saint Michael's last Friday.
