MANSFIELD, Mass. – Adelphi claimed the top spot in the NE10 Men's Lacrosse Championship after clinching sole possession of the NE10 regular season title on Tuesday night with a 14-8 victory over Southern New Hampshire. First round action is scheduled for Saturday.
The Panthers, ranked No. 4 in the latest United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) poll, went 9-0 against NE10 opponents this season. Adelphi, led by head coach Gordon Purdie, will seek its second NE10 Championship in the past three seasons.

Adelphi (12-2, 9-0 NE10) lost only two games this season to No. 1 Lenoir Rhyne and No. 2 Rollins. Since then, the Panthers have won 10-straight contests to earn the top seed in the NE10 Championship and a bye in the first round.
Saint Anselm (9-3, 7-2 NE10) enters as the No. 2 seed and earned the other first-round bye, following a 13-7 win over Pace in the regular season finale on Tuesday. The Hawks won eight of their last 10 games during the season. Pace, the No. 3 seed, will host No. 6 Assumption on Saturday, while No. 4-seeded Bentley will play No. 5 Saint Michael's.
The highest seeds remaining after Saturday's first round will host the NE10 Championship semifinals next Wednesday. The Championship final will be played at the highest remaining seed on Saturday, May 4. All games throughout the Championship will be streamed on NE10NOW.tv.
