NE10 Swimmers of the Week

Ryan Kakimseit, Adelphi
Freshman  l  New York, N.Y.

The already two-time NE10 Rookie of the Week and one-time NE10 Swimmer of the Week, Ryan Kakimseit picked up four more wins in the team's home opener vs. New Paltz, including breaking his 100-back record once again, this time posting a conference-best 51.29.

Hailey Nyquist, Southern Connecticut State
Junior  l  Staten Island, N.Y.

Against CCSU and Wagner, Hailey Nyquist posted a time of 58.41 in the 100 Backstroke, a time of 2:13.11 in the 200 Backstroke and a time of 59.74 in the 100 Butterfly. She also swam a 27.69 split as the lead in the 200 Medley Relay.


NE10 Relay of the Week

200yd Freestyle Relay, Assumption

The grouping of Jenna Swist, Caroline McKay Elizabeth Galicki, and Savina Villani set the meet record against Bentley in the Women's 200-yard freestyle relay, as they tripped the timer at 1:45.45.

200yd Medley Relay, Bentley

Matt Walden, Tyler Marzano, Peter Epp and Jules Rouyer won the 200 Medley relay in 1:41.46 against Assumption


NE10 Rookies of the Week

The already two-time NE10 Rookie of the Week and one-time NE10 Swimmer of the Week, Ryan Kakimseit picked up four more wins in the team's home opener vs. New Paltz, including breaking his 100-back record once again, this time posting a conference-best 51.29.

Aizel Pusing, Adelphi
Freshman l Queens Village, N.Y.

Continued a strong start to her rookie campaign, winning the 50- and 100-yard breaststroke and the 200-yard IM in the team's home opener against New Paltz ... Her 32.57 in the 50-breast currently leads all NE10 swimmers, and her 100-breast time of 1:11.80 ranks among the Top 10 conference leaders, sitting a slim margin of just three seconds behind the league's top time.


NE10 Weekly Honor Roll

Elizabeth Galicki, Assumption (Jr., East Weymouth, Mass.)
Galicki had four first-place finishes in Assumption's dual meet at Bentley. The junior won the 100yd backstroke (1:02.86), and 200yd backstroke (2:18.16) while also being a part of the 200yd Medley Relay (1:52.45) and the 200yd freestyle relay (1:41.45).

Sean Leary, Assumption (Fr., South Windsor, Conn.)
Leary had a strong showing at Bentley on Sunday, as the freshman won the 100yd Breaststroke (1:04.70) and 400yd IM (4:23.73) and was a part of the 200yd Freestyle Relay (1:39.11).

Emma Hapkiewicz, Bentley (Sr., South Windsor, Conn.)
Hapkiewicz won the 200, 500 and 1000 free in Bentley's win over Assumption. She swam season bests in the 1000 and 500. She posted 10:56.15 in the 1000 and 5:15.94 in the 500. After winning the 1000, she came right back in the next race and won the 200 in 1:58.23.

Anthony Attenborough, College of Staten Island (Jr., Staten Island, N.Y.)
Attenborough registered a time that placed him near the top of the conference in the 200 IM this past weekend (finalized meet results pending) and continues to demonstrate great versatility for the Dolphins in the pool.

Arianna Arturi, Southern Connecticut State (Jr., Mount Olive, N.J.)
Against CCSU and Wagner, Arianna Arturi posted a time of 1:58.62 in the 200 Free and a time of 54.57 in the 100 Free before swimming a 25.33 split in the 200 Freestyle Relay event.

Dylan Prescher, Southern Connecticut State (Jr., Ellington, Conn.)
Against CCSU and Wagner, Dylan Prescher finished second with a time of 10:04.96 in the 1,000 Yard Freestyle event and also finished second in the 500 Yard Freestyle with a time of 4:54.10.
