NE10 Swimmers of the Week

Dylan Prescher, Southern Connecticut State
Junior l Ellington, Conn.

Against Adelphi, Dylan Prescher won a pair of events ? taking the 1000 Yard Freestyle and the 500 Yard Freestyle to lead the Owls.Prescher won the 1000 Free with a time of 9:58.54 and then picked up his second win of the day in the 500 Free with a time of 4:55.12.

Jordan Nuzback, Bentley
Junior l Fairview, Penn.

Nuzback had five first-place finishes between Bentley's two dual wins vs. Roger Williams 1st - 100-free (55.06) 1st - 200-free (200.34) 1st - 400-medley relay (4:09.86) vs. Babson 1st - 100-free (55.34) 1st - 200-free relay (4:09.86) 2nd - 100-butterfly (1:01.41).


NE10 Divers of the Week

Greg Asayan, Pace
Junior l Cresskill, N.J.

Asayan posted a pair of PRs in the Setters duel meet against Vassar. In the 3M, Asayan posted a score of 243.07 while posting a 227.32 in the 1M

Hilla Almog, Bentley
Junior l Wayland, Mass.

During Bentley's 201-87 win over Babson, Almog won the 1-meter (245.85) and the 3-meter (256.35)


NE10 Rookies of the Week 

Daniel Ivanchikov, Bentley
Freshman l Leola, Penn.

Invanchikov had four top-3 individual finishes between Bentley's dual wins over Roger Williams and Bentley vs. Roger Williams 1st - 200-free (1:49.35) 2nd - 200-butterfly (2:02.70) vs. Babson 1st - 200-freestyle (1:47.82) 3rd - 200-backstroke (2:01.56) 5th - 200-butterfly (2:06.94) 1st - 200-freestyle relay (1:28.90).

Molly Kennedy, Southern Connecticut State
Freshman l Prospect, Conn.

Against Adelphi in a 48-43 win, Molly Kennedy won the 50 Freestyle and was also part of the 200 Medley and 200 Freestyle Relay teams that posted wins. In the 50 Free, Kennedy won with a time of 25.71, giving her wins in five straight races dating back to last weekend against Bentley and Saint Rose. In the 200 Medley, Kennedy swam a relay-leading 25.06 as the anchor and then swam a 25.22 as the third leg in the 200 Freestyle Relay.

NE10 Relay of the Week

Men's 200 Medley, Adelphi

Adelphi's 200 medley relay of Ryan Kakimseit, Connor Singer, Jake Chee-A-Tow and Eric Slavin finished first in the lanes over SCSU, clocking in at 1:35.10 to earn a victory for the Panthers.

Women's 200 Medley, Assumption

The quartet of Elizabeth Galicki, Savina Villani, Jenna Swist, and Caroline McKay won the 200-yard Medley Relay with a time of 1:53.27. The Greyhounds won the event by over eight seconds.


NE10 Weekly Honor Roll

Jenna Swist, Assumption (Jr., Broad Brook, Conn.)
Swist was a part of three first-place finishes in Assumption's meet against Merrimack on Saturday. She began the day as the third leg of the 200-yard Medley Relay (1:53.27), before winning both the 200-yard Freestyle (1:58.27) and the 100-yard Freestyle (55.23).
 
Leighton Wielgoszinski (So., Madison, Ind.)
Wielgoszinski won five individual events between Bentley's dual wins over Roger Williams and Babson vs. Roger Williams 1st - 1,000-freestyle (10:08.47) 1st - 200-butterfly (2:01.24) 1st - 500-freestyle (4:54.45) vs. Babson 1st - 1,000-freestyle (10:04.11) 1st - 500-freestyle (4:51.70) 2nd - 200-butterfly (2:02.06)
 
Tyler Besnoff, Pace (Sr., Lititz, Pa.)
Besnoff earned two wins and a second place finish in the Setters duel meet against Vassar. In the 1,000-yard freestyle, Besnoff won by over 20 seconds with a time of 10:50.35. In the 500-yard freestyle, he won by 12 seconds with a time of 56:10.55. He took second in the 200-yard IM with a mark of 2:06.49.
 
Jenna Pearse, Pace (Gr., Johannesburg, South Africa)
Pearse won the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:19.95. She was also a member of the 400-yard freestyle relay team that took first with a time of 3:44.45.
 
Isabella Reyes, Pace (So., Miami, Fla.)
Reyes won both the 1m and 3m against Vassar with scores of 236.17 and 258.30. the 258.30 in the 3m in a new PR for the sophomore. 

Madeline Waldt, Saint Michael's (Fr., Abingdon, Md.)
Waldt won three times in a victory at Saint Rose on Saturday. She led off for the top 200 medley relay (1:57.71) before taking the 200 IM (2:21.83) and 500 freestyle (5:30.56) by 5.91 and 11.21 seconds, respectively.
James Henriques, Saint Rose (Jr., Middletown, N.Y.)
Henriques took first place in the 50 freestyle (21.48 seconds) and 100 butterfly (53.31) on Saturday against Saint Michael's. Henriques also swam the anchor leg of the Golden Knights winning 200 medley relay squad (1:38.43).
Leana Padunina, Saint Rose (Fr., Troy, N.Y.)
Padunina touched the wall first in the 50 freestyle (26.37 seconds) and 100 backstroke (1:05.66) against Saint Michael's over the weekend.

Justice Glasgow, Southern Connecticut State (Jr., Warren, Mich.)

Against Adelphi in a 49-43 win, Glasgow captured the 100 Free with a time of 56.72 and also was on the 200 Medley Relay and 200 Freestyle Relay team that posted wins. In the 200 Medley Relay, Glasgow swam the third leg and posted a time of 25.74. In the 200 Freestyle Relay, Glasgow swam the second leg with a time of 25.67.
JD Starkey, Southern Connecticut State (So., Madison, Conn.)
Against Adelphi, J.D. Starkey won the 400 IM with a time of 4:16.58, just under 14 seconds better than the second-place finisher from Adelphi. He then finished second in the 200 Back with a time of 1:56.54
