NE10 Women's Track Athlete of the Week

Katherine Marsh, Adelphi
So. | Sprints | East Meadow, N.Y.

Katherine Marsh knocked over four seconds off her best time in an outdoor race, at 2:14.50 in the 800m event at the GCU Lions Invitational last week. With that time, she is tops in the NE10 by over five seconds and the first in the East Region.


NE10 Women's Field Athlete of the Week

Stephanie Green, College of Saint Rose
Sophomore | Throws | Kingston, N.Y.

Sophomore Stephanie Green made her mark in the field events at Sunday's meet vs. Sage and Albany College of Pharmacy, winning the shot put (11.00m), discus (26.90m) and hammer (47.03m). She currently sits second in the hammer and third in the shot in school history and has the best hammer throw among NE10 student-athletes on the young spring by more than seven meters.


NE10 Women's Track Rookie of the Week

Raven-Symone Jarrett, American International
Freshman | Hurdles/Jumps | New Britain, Conn.

Jarrett turned in a dominating performance at the Yellow Jacket Invitational. She won the 100-meter hurdles and high jump as an individual and then was part of the 4x400-meter relay team that won the event. She has the top time in the 100-meter hurdles in the conference with her time of 14.94 second. She is third in the high jump, and the 4x400 relay had the best time of any relay this week and the second best in the NE10 overall on the year.


NE10 Women's Field Rookie of the Week

Julieth Nwosu, Franklin Pierce
Sophomore | Throws | Brockton, Mass.

Picked up a pair of shot put wins over the weekend, as she took first place on Saturday at AIC (13.06m) and on Sunday at SCSU (13.03m). Nwosu remains the only NE10 competitor who has thrown over 12 meters this season. 


NE10 Women's Relay of the Week

Assumption University - 4x100 Relay

Assumption 4x100 Relay took second overall at the Merrimack College Invitational over the weekend, trailing just Division I UMass Lowell. The quartet of Jaimee Hirshfeld, Kate Carlson, Chelsea Garcia-Baez and Victoria Steffon beat host Merrimack by nearly one second. It is also the second fastest time in the NE10 this year.


NE10 Weekly Honor Roll

Victoria Steffon, Assumption University (Jr. - Holden, Mass.)
Steffon placed second in the 100 meters with an NE10-best time of 12.26 seconds at Merrimack and then took second in the 200 meters with a time of 25.77 seconds. She was also part of a 4x100 relay which earned second in a time of 50.21, beating host Merrimack.

Bethaney Donnelly, Franklin Pierce (Gr. - Manchester, United Kingdom)
Won the 5000 meters on Sunday at SCSU, with a time of 18:12.45. The time is the best in the NE10 this year.

Mackenzie Evans, New Haven (Jr. - Brooklyn, N.Y.)
In her only event of the weekend, junior sprinter Mackenzie Evans shaved more than three seconds off from Saturday to Sunday, taking home medal honors in the 200-meter dash at the James Barber Invitational. In the opening meet of the weekend, Evans finished the 200 in a time of 27.80 as the Chargers took the top five spots in that event, with Evans finishing fourth. Less than 24 hours later, Evans flew to a personal best of 24.68 to win the event at SCSU's Jess Dow Field.

Rachel Fleischer, Southern Conn. (Jr. - Derby, Conn.)
At the James Barber Tri-Meet, Fleischer finished in first place in the triple jump with a leap of 11.44 meters and in third place in the long jump with a leap of 5.07 meters.

Kylie Neretich, Southern Conn. (Fr. - Naugatuck, Conn.)
In her collegiate debut at the James Barber Tri-Meet, Neretich finished first in all four of her events she ran in. She finished recorded a time of 16.15 in the 100-meter hurdles and 1:12.34 in the 400-meter hurdles. In the 4x100-meter relay, Neretich helped her team to a time of 51.04, and helped her 4x400-meter relay team to a time of 4:13.03, beating out Franklin Pierce in both events.

Casey Gannon, Stonehill (Sr. - Warwick, R.I.)
Gannon, in the Skyhawks' first outdoor meet in two years, earned two first-place marks, as Stonehill hosted Bentley University on Sunday. In the 100-meter hurdles, Gannon clocked in a time of 15.40-seconds and then she ran a time of 1:06.36 in the 400-meter hurdles, taking both top marks.

Krista Stracqualursi, Stonehill College (Jr. - Tewksbury, Mass.)
Stracqualursi, in the Skyhawks' first outdoor meet in 2 years, took home two first-place marks as Stonehill hosted Bentley University. The junior placed first in the discus, throwing 34.48m (113-feet, 1inch) on her second throw. She also took the top mark in the shot put with a measurement of 10.88m (35-feet, 8.5inch) on her first throw.
