NE10 Women's Track Athlete of the Week
Haley Wheeler, American International
Graduate Student | Oxford, Conn.
Competing in just her second-ever event in indoor track and field, Wheeler outran a field of Division I athletes in the mile at the West Point Open. Her time of 5:11.43 on the flat track is far and away the fastest in the event in the NE10 for the season, and converts to a 5:08.38 time on a banked track.
NE10 Women's Field Athlete of the Week
Raven-Symone Jarrett, American International
Sophomore | New Britain, Conn.
Jarrett placed second in the high jump at the West Point Open with an effort of 1.65m (5-5). That moves her into a tie for No. 19 in NCAA Division II this season and second in the NE10. She also placed sixth in the 60 meter hurdles with a time of 9.43 seconds, good for sixth in the NE10, and posted the ninth best time in the 200 meters with a time of 27.30 seconds.
NE10 Women's Track Rookie of the Week
Meghan Sambrook, Stonehill
Freshman | East Greenbush, N.Y.
For the first time in her collegiate career, Sambrook competed in the 500 meters for Stonehill and posted an impressive time of 1:23.48 for eighth place in her only race on the day.
NE10 Women's Field Rookie of the Week
Madison Kozyra, Le Moyne
R-Freshman | Marcy, N.Y.
Kozyra placed third in the shot put with a distance of 39-feet, 0.50-inches at Cornell's Southern Tier Invite on Saturday. She also placed eighth in the weight throw with a mark of 40-feet, 8.75-inches.
NE10 Women's Relay of the Week
Le Moyne 4x400 Relay
Le Moyne's 4x400 Relay placed second at the Southern Tier Invitational, trailing just host Cornell in the event. The quartet of Cleo Baker, Delaney Manahan, Samantha Pellegrini and Shaina Smith finished in 4:45.51.
NE10 Weekly Honor Roll
Amanda Winn, Le Moyne (Jr. - Baldwinsville, N.Y.)
She won the 1000-meter run with a time of 3:38.90 at Cornell's Southern Tier Invite on Saturday.
Haley Lightbody , Stonehill (Fr. - Reading, Mass.)
Junior Haley Lightbody competed in both the pole vault and long jump where she posted solid results in the afternoon. In the pole vault, she posted a mark of 2.96 meters (11th place) and in the long jump, she set a new season-high of 4.98 meters (16th).
