NE10 Men's Track Athlete of the Week

Gabe Medina, American International
Sophomore | Mid-Distance | West Springfield, Mass.

Medina won the 800-meter run at the Springfield College Classic with a time of 1:53.70, the top time for the event in the conference on the week and second on the Outdoor campaign behind only his teammate Callum Elson.


NE10 Men's Field Athlete of the Week

Ja'Lil Reynolds, Saint Rose
Sophomore | Jumps | Hopewell Junction, N.Y.

Reynolds took the victory in the high jump after clearing the 2.05-meter bar at the Springfield College Classic on Saturday. In addition to setting the top performance this season amongst Northeast-10 Conference competitors, Reynolds' mark also met the NCAA provisional qualifying standard.


NE10 Men's Track Rookie of the Week

Solomon King, Stonehill
Sophomore | Sprints | Norwood, Mass.

King turned in a strong sprint performance again for Stonehill, when he won the 200-meter dash in a personal-best 22.31-seconds and then finished second in the 100-meter dash in a personal-best 10.99-seconds.


NE10 Men's Field Rookie of the Week

Zerion Montgomery, New Haven
Freshman | Jumps | Derby, Conn.

Montgomery finished top-three in a pair of events at this past weekend's Wilton Wright Invitational, taking second place honors in the long jump and third place distinction in the triple jump. In the first of those events, he hit a distance of 6.8 meters in his second of five attempts. He followed that up with a leap of 13.38 meters in the triple jump, hitting that mark also on his second attempt.


NE10 Men's Relay of the Week

4x100 Relay, American International

The quartet of Jean Paul Castro, Junior Pontes Da Veiga, Bailey Murphy and ToRae Wright placed third in the 4x100 meters at the Springfield College Classice with a time of 42.54 seconds.


NE10 Weekly Honor Roll

Khalil Chester, Adelphi (So. - Amityville, N.Y.)
Chester's 6.90 meter leap in the long jump event topped the field of 32 competitors for a new career-best distance for the sophomore at the Wilton Wright Invitational. That mark currently stands as the second best in the NE10.

Matthew Wenz, Adelphi (Fr. - Rego Park, N.Y.)
Completed a full decathlon at the Osprey Open and Multi Invite, placing second overall in a field of eight competitors. He placed first in the 400 dash, clocking in at 52.66 and topped the group in the discus with a launch of 38.82m. He placed second in three other events for a career-best 5188 points.

Brice Tolan, Bentley (Jr. - Abington, Mass.)
During the Triton Invitational in San Diego, Tolan ran the 1500 meters in 3:57.17 to finish tenth of 47. It bettered his personal best by 6.74 seconds, moved him to tenth on Bentley's all-time list and elevated him to fourth on the Northeast-10 performance list.

Connor Everidge, Franklin Pierce (Jr. - Baldwinville, Mass.)
On Saturday at Fitchburg State, won the shot put (14.35m), was second in the hammer (47.57m) and took third in the discus (39.42m). The hammer mark ranks second in the NE10, while the discus distance is 11th. Everidge is also fifth in the in the league in the shot put, based off a throw earlier this year.

Jordan Emile, New Haven (Fr. - Stoughton, Mass.)
In his only event on the track, Emile took home medal honors in the 110 meter hurdles at the Wilton Wright Invitational. He finished the event in a time of 15.25, a season-best and currently fourth best in the region.

Bernardo Mbaya, Southern Connecticut (Sr. - Waterbury, Conn.)
Mbaya finished in second place, and first among DII athletes, in the discus throw at the Wilton Wright Invitational with a personal-best throw of 44.85 meters. Mbaya notably finished ahead of all but one athlete from Central Connecticut, UConn, and Hartford, and his throw is the second longest in the NE10 this season.

Marquis Whyte, Southern Connecticut (Fr. - New London, Conn.)
Whyte finished in fourth place in the 800-meter run at the Wilton Wright Invitational with a time of 1:58.28, the best by Division II athletes in the event at the meet. Whyte's time is the best by a freshman during the outdoor season in the NE10.
