Franklin Pierce Sweeps Major Awards as NE10 Releases Women's Golf All-Conference Teams

Kesinee Prukmathakul

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Franklin Pierce with League-Best Five All-Conference Selections.

MANSFIELD, Mass. –Franklin Pierce swept major awards, including Kesinee Prukmathakul being selected as the Northeast-10 Conference Player of the Year, as the league office released its All-Conference women's golf honors for the 2022-23 season on Thursday afternoon.

Prukmathakul extends the streak of Franklin Pierce golfers winning NE10 Player of the Year to four seasons – and it is the second consecutive year that she herself has earned Player of the Year recognition. Joining her with major awards are teammate Lorelai Flanagan as Rookie of the Year and head coach Tyler Bishop as Coach of the Year.

Five different NE10 women's golf programs had at least one player earn an All-Conference selection, including a league-high five from Franklin Pierce – which includes two players on the First Team (Prukmathakul and Phisonlaya Ruayruen). With a total of 10 players earning All-Conference honors, the Ravens filled half of the entire team.

Prukmathakul becomes the first NE10 golfer since Franklin Pierce's Camden Morrison in 2018 to repeat as Player of the Year. She finished second in the NE10 Women's Golf Championship in October with a two-over par (146) through 36 holes. Prukmathakul led the Ravens to the NCAA East Regional – the only NE10 team to qualify – and she tied for 17th with a 10-over par (226) to lead all Franklin Pierce golfers. She also earns her second-straight nod to the First Team All-Conference.

Flanagan is the second consecutive Franklin Pierce golfer to win Rookie of the Year honors, following Prukmathakul and her performance in the 2021-22 season. Flanagan finished 10th at the NE10 Championship with a 24-over par (168) and 75th at the NCAA East Regional with a 36-over par (252). She was a three-time selection as the NE10 Rookie of the Week and had a pair of top-10 finishes in her freshman campaign. Flanagan was selected to Second Team All-Conference.

For the third-straight season and the fifth time overall, Bishop was named Coach of the Year after leading Franklin Pierce to its fourth-consecutive NE10 Women's Golf Championship. The Ravens were the only NE10 women's golf program to qualify for the NCAA East Regional and had five players selected to the All-Conference teams. Bishop is the only women's golf coach in league history to earn Coach of the Year on multiple occasions.
