NE10 Honors 131 Student-Athletes on Spring Academic All-Conference Teams

MANSFIELD, Mass. – The Northeast-10 Conference released its Academic All-Conference teams for the 2023 spring season on Wednesday afternoon, as the league honored 131 outstanding student-athletes from 10 sports for their excellence in the classroom and on the playing surface. 

To be eligible for selection to NE10 Academic All-Conference teams, a student-athlete must have met or exceeded the following minimum requirements:

  • Started in at least half or played in at least two-thirds of the team's competitions as a significant contributor.
  • Achieved a 3.30 cumulative grade-point average (GPA) or better on a 4.0 scale.

Each NE10 institution had multiple student-athletes selected to the Academic All-Conference teams. For a full list of honorees, please CLICK HERE.

Southern New Hampshire had a league-best 19 selections, including four honorees in baseball and women's outdoor track & field. Adelphi ranked second with 18 selections, which included representation on all 10 spring teams. Bentley (13), Franklin Pierce (12), Pace (12) and Le Moyne (11) were the other four institutions to have a double-digit number of student-athletes recognized on Academic All-Conference teams. 

Women's lacrosse led all spring sports with 23 student-athletes honored, while men's lacrosse had 20 and baseball and softball each had 18. Men's and women's outdoor track & field both had 14, while men's golf, women's golf, men's tennis and women's tennis had six apiece. 

Among the 131 student-athletes, 54 of them are being honored for the second time and 12 of them are being recognized as Academic All-Conference for the third time in their careers, respectively. 

The NE10 had 12 Player of the Year award winners included on the Academic All-Conference teams: SNHU's Nick Schwartz (Baseball), Pace's Patrick Gleason (Baseball), Adelphi's Lindsey Hibbs (Softball), Franklin Pierce's Ashley Cangiano (Softball), Bentley's Sam Petow (Softball), Bentley's Cam Bartolomeo (Men's Lacrosse), Saint Anselm's Ryan Slattery (Men's Lacrosse), SNHU's Ashley Corcoran (Women's Outdoor Track & Field), Le Moyne's Tyler Birdd (Men's Golf), Franklin Pierce's Kesinee Prukmathakul (Women's Golf), Adelphi's Marko Jovanovic (Men's Tennis) and SNHU's Magdalena Hubickova (Women's Tennis).
