SOUTHWICK, Mass. – In only the second year of the program's existence, New Haven claimed the Northeast-10 Conference Women's Golf Championship by six strokes over four-time reigning league champion Franklin Pierce on Sunday at The Ranch Golf Club.

The Chargers shot a 53-over (629) as a team in the 36-hole tournament - holding off the Ravens, who finished second at 59-over (635). Adelphi placed third at 90-over (666) and Assumption was fourth at 116-over (692), while Saint Anselm (144-over, 720) and Saint Rose (177-over, 753) rounded-out the Championship.

New Haven had four golfers finish in the Top 10 of the individual leaderboard, including Wynter Flores who tied for second (10-over, 154) and Isabella Thomas who tied for fourth (12-over, 156). Joining the Chargers' duo was Erin Earl at 15-over (159) in eighth place and Sofia Cova at 18-over (162) in tenth place.

New Haven becomes just the third women's golf program to ever win the NE10 Championship, joining five-time winner Franklin Pierce and four-time winner Merrimack.

Franklin Pierce's Kesinee Prukmathakul won individual medalist honors for the second time in her career, shooting a four-over (148) for the Championship - including even-par in Sunday's final round. She led all players in birdies (6) and tied for the lead in pars (22) for the weekend.

Prukmathakul earned All-Championship Team honors, joining Flores and Thomas, as well as Assumption's Jenny Walsh and Saint Rose's Erika Fuentes

Franklin Pierce's Phisonlaya Ruayruen, who finished tied for 11th, was named the NE10 Elite 24 Award winner with her 3.953 GPA as a Management major. The Elite 24 honors the student-athlete with the highest cumulative GPA at the finals site of each NE10 Championship.
