Women's Cross Country Championship on Sunday Nov. 6
MANSFIELD, Mass. – Southern New Hampshire was selected as the favorite heading into the Northeast-10 Conference Women's Cross Country Championship. The Penmen received 153 points and 11 first-place votes.
SNHU will try to win its first NE10 title in program history when the 5K Championship race begins on Sunday on the campus of Saint Michael's College in Colchester, Vt. The women's race will follow the men's, beginning at 12:15 p.m., and the results can be found on 802timing.com.
Southern Connecticut finished in second place in the Pre-Championship Poll with 113 points and Saint Anselm was third with 111 points. Adelphi came in fourth with 104 total points, followed by AIC in fifth with 103 and the final two first-place votes.
SNHU won two meets during the season - the Shacklette Invitational hosted by Saint Anselm and the Adelphi Short Course Showdown. Overall, the Penmen have only appeared as the women's Runner-Up at the NE10 Championship, and that was back during the 2019 season.
