Each week for the remainder of the spring we will honor the seniors from two NE10 baseball programs as our teams of the week for each player's dedication to their program and teammates.

SOUTHERN CONNECTICUT

Coach Tim Shea on his senior class - "I feel extremely fortunate to have had the opportunity to coach such an outstanding group of young men. They were all incredible leaders in our program and their efforts were not limited to the ball field. Each were outstanding students, participated in community service and represented our program and University with class and dignity. Their futures are so bright and I look forward to our continued relationship. You guys are the best!!"

Season Recap
The SCSU baseball team was off to a strong start in 2020, going 6-3-1 in its first 10 games of the season – including a pair of wins in a three-game set against Queens College prior to the cancellation of spring sports. With the 6-3-1 record, the Owls were in first place of the NE10 Southwest Division. Mike Demartino (.375) and Connor Redahan (.367) both hit over .350, while combining for two homers and 17 RBI. Ebert made a pair of appearances on the mound for the Owls this season, racking-up 5.0 innings in his relief efforts.

Seniors

Season Recap
Southern New Hampshire, ranked No. 11 in the final NCBWA Poll of the season, was off to a 12-4 start to the 2020 campaign. The Penmen were on a four-game winning streak and had won 12 of 13 games before the spring stoppage, while taking two out of three contests against NE10 opponent Adelphi on March 7 and 8. Josh Goldstein and Tom Blandini were both hitting over .300 at the plate, combining for three homers and 21 RBI. The pitching staff's ERA of 4.23 was the best in the NE10, with Endy Morales (3.00) and Thomas Novick (3.86) posting sub-4.00 ERAs and combining for a 17-6 strikeout-to-walk ratio.

The NE10 is an association of 14 diverse institutions serving student-athletes across 24 NCAA Division II sports. Together we build brilliant futures by embracing the journey of every student-athlete. 

Each year, 4,500 student-athletes compete in conference championships, making the NE10 the largest DII conference in the country in terms of sport sponsorship.
