Garden City, N.Y. - Le Moyne College defeated Adelphi University 16-13 in Garden City, N.Y. this afternoon in the National Semifinal round to advance to the National Championship game next Sunday in Philadelphia.
With the win, Le Moyne will take on Mercyhurst next Sunday afternoon at Lincoln Financial Field, the home of the Philadelphia Eagles, with the winner earning the title of 2013 NCAA Division II Men's Lacrosse National Champion.
Junior midfielder Andrew Chadderdon and sophomore attackman Kevin Kelly each scored five goals to lead third-seeded Le Moyne to the 16-13 win. The Dolphins have now won nine straight games with the win, and improve to 17-2 overall.
The top-seeded Panthers end the year with a mark of 14-3.
