Three Panthers Represent NE10 as All-Americans
Sparks, Md. – US Lacrosse Magazine recently revealed its 2021 Division II Men's Preseason All-Americans and Adelphi was the lone NE10 program represented, as the Panthers were one of three schools nationally to have three student-athletes honored by the publication.
Panthers recognized were Nicolas Racalbuto, John Arcidiacono and Justin Napolitano. Each returned in 2021 as graduate students after their 2020 season was cut short. The trio also received similar recognition last year by Inside Lacrosse and the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA).
Racabulto scored ten goals and three games last year before the season was canceled, after netting 63 goals in 2019. Arcidiacono ranked second in goals with six in 2020 while scooping up nine ground balls and earning three caused turnovers.
A defender, Napolitano was also honored as the magazine's Preseason Defensive Player of the Year. In 2020 he posted four ground balls and four caused turnovers in the team's final 2020 contest and has 46 caused turnovers and 71 ground balls over 37 games with the Paners during the last three seasons.
