Adelphi Leads NE10 Programs with Three Scholar All-Americans
MANSFIELD, Mass. – Nine men's lacrosse student-athletes from the Northeast-10 Conference have been selected as USILA Division II Scholar All-Americans, as announced on Thursday by the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association.
Adelphi led all schools with three honorees, followed by Saint Anselm and Le Moyne with two selections apiece. Justin Napolitano, Gordon Purdie Jr. and Nicolas Racalbuto represented the Panthers while Griffin Shoemaker and Matt Ward were recognized for the Hawks. Ross Filtch and Ben McCreary represented Le Moyne while Bentley's Kristopher Campbell and Pace's Alan Singleton rounded out the NE10's honorees.
A Scholar All-American must be nominated by his coach and be a student with a senior year academic standing and a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 (on a scale of 4.0). They must have also been a standout player, either as an All-American, or a member of the North/South team.
USILA also released its Team Academic Award for programs honoring teams which earned a GPA over 3.0 this past semester. Adelphi, Bentley and Pace were the three teams honored from the NE10.
