NE10 Player of the Week
Eddie Baker, Saint Rose
Senior | Attack | Binghamton, N.Y.
Baker tallied nine goals and three assists for 12 points, and picked up five ground balls in a 1-1 week for Saint Rose. He posted four goals and two helpers in Wednesday's tight battle with #5 Adelphi before recording five more scores and another assist to lead the Golden Knights to a 15-6 win over American International on Saturday.
NE10 Defensive Player of the Week
Takari Johnson, AIC
Freshman | Long Stick Midfielder | New Brighton, Minn.
Johnson had a huge week defensively against a pair of teams receiving votes in the USILA Coaches Poll. He collected 10 ground balls and forced six turnovers in the two contests for the Yellow Jackets.
NE10 Goalkeeper of the Week
Matt Vavonese, Le Moyne
Senior | Goalkeeper | Syracuse, N.Y.
He registered a 6.71 goals against average, 21 saves and a .618 save percentage in top-ranked Le Moyne's 2-0 week. He recorded 13 saves, including eight in the second half against two goals, in a 12-8 come-from-behind (trailed 6-3 with seven minutes left in the second quarter) victory at 10th-ranked Pace on Tuesday. He turned away eight shots (against five goals) over 56:20 in a 14-6 win over Saint Michael's on Saturday. Vavonese also picked up seven ground balls on the week.
NE10 Rookie of the Week
Noah Gibson, Saint Rose
Freshman | Midfield | Rochester, N.Y.
Gibson provided four goals, three assists, six ground balls, and three caused turnovers to the Saint Rose attack this week. On Wednesday, Gibson helped the Golden Knights stay close to #5 Adelphi with three scores, a pair of assists, four GB, and two CT.
NE10 Weekly Honor Roll
Logan Tucker, Adelphi (Jr., A - Massapequa, N.Y.)
Logan Tucker was responsible for a team-leading 10 points in a 2-0 week for Adelphi men's lacrosse who remain undefeated this season. He put up six points behind four goals and two assists against Saint Rose and posted a perfect shot on goal percentage. Through two games he also caused two turnovers and collected a ground ball in each. For the week he finished with a shot-on-goal percentage of 90 after scoring six times.
Hayden Gaudette, AIC (Fr., GK - Bennington, Vt.)
Gaudette continued to pile up stops for AIC in two games against tough opposition, stopping 26 shots across 105 minutes of play for the Yellow Jackets.
Nolan Sheehan, Assumption (Sr., A - Potomac, Md.)
In two games this past week, Sheehan recorded six goals and added three assists. In Wednesday's matchup with No. 19 Bentley, the senior attackman tied a career-high five goals and added two assists for a career-high seven points. On Saturday, Sheehan picked up two points with a goal and an assist at No. 5 Adelphi. The Maryland native also added eight groundballs and two caused turnovers to his weekly stat line.
Luke Jaber, Bentley (Sr., A - Milton, Mass.)
Jaber notched a team high 8 points in two games last week. He helped Bentley to a 13-12 road win over Assumption with two goals and five assists. Jaber also notched five ground balls in the two games.
Caleb Ikkela, Franklin Pierce (Sr., A - Onset, Mass.)
In Pierce Men's Lacrosse's lone victory over American International this past week, Ikkela matched a career-high in single game goals with four on the day, one of which came a man-up in the 10-8 triumph. Along the way, Ikkela also contributed three ground balls and one caused turnover, as well as six total shots on goal.
Joey Pezzimenti, Le Moyne (Jr., A - Victor, N.Y.)
He registered 10 points on six goals and four assists in top-ranked Le Moyne's 2-0 week. He had a career-best seven points on four goals and three assists in a 12-8 come-from-behind victory at 10th-ranked Pace on Tuesday. He recorded three points on two goals and one assists in a 14-6 win over Saint Michael's on Saturday.
Maxwell Streety, Pace (Jr., M - Orchard Park, N.Y.)
Two games played, 17 ground balls, 26-for-49 on faceoffs (53.1%), also scored one goal.
David Olsen, Saint Anselm (Sr., GK - Salem, N.H.)
Olsen turned aside 17 shots on goal in a pair of wins over Southern New Hampshire and Bentley this week. Olsen finished the week with a 0.567 save percentage and a 6.50 goals-against average. The senior stopped eight shots on target and allowed just five in the win over the Penmen before allowing eight and saving nine against the Falcons on Saturday.
Cooper Wilson, Saint Michael's (So., FO - Niskayuna, N.Y.)
Sophomore Cooper Wilson went 12-for-23 on faceoffs with five ground balls in a 14-6 loss at No. 1 Le Moyne on Saturday. Wilson took all of the Purple Knights' draws, as undefeated Le Moyne was outgained on faceoffs for just the third time in eight games this season, and for the first time by an NE10 counterpart since last year's league title game against Adelphi.
Ronan DePaul, Southern N.H. (Jr., GK - Elkton, Md.)
Ronan DePaul made 40 saves in the combined two games for SNHU last week against nationally-ranked Saint Anselm and Pace. He also collected six ground balls.
