NE10 Player of the Week
Victor Castel, Adelphi
Senior l Forward l Valencia, Spain
Castel netted back-to-back braces in a pair of league contests. Victor also accounted for both game-winners, as the Panthers have now won three in a row and five of six. On Saturday, Castel tallied the equalizing goal in the 57th minute as the 'Cats trailed 1-0 at the half to Saint Michael's. He volleyed home the game-winner with 8:09 left in the match.
NE10 Defensive Player of the Week
Aitor Cuenca Retuerto, Franklin Pierce
Graduate Student | Defense | Bilbao, Spain
Cuenca made an impact for the Ravens over the last two games in both the defensive and offensive zones. In the matchup against Bentley, Cuenca pitched in a goal that contributed to the 5-2 victory. In the matchup against New Haven, Cuenca led the Ravens defense in the 3-0 shutout while also dumping in a goal and an assist.
NE10 Goalkeeper of the Week
Iver Sjavag, Assumption
Freshman | Goalkeeper | Alesund, Norway
Sjåvåg returned to the starting lineup on Sunday, recording eight saves in the 0-0 tie against Saint Anselm for his first collegiate shutout.
NE10 Rookie of the Week
Ali Taleb, AIC
Freshman | Forward | Glastonbury, Conn.
Taleb scored all three goals for AIC in a two-game week. He notched a clutch game-tying goal with under five minutes to play to steal a point from Saint Michael's, then scored both of AIC's goals at Georgian Court.

Younes Addar Khanoussi, Franklin Pierce (Gr., F - Castellon, Spain)
Younes had a four-goal week, including a hat trick against Bentley that helped elevate the Ravens offensive firepower. He also had the game-winning goal vs Bentley. Younes now has 13 goals in 2023.
Diego Montoya Casillas, Franklin Pierce (So., GK - Cuernavaca, Mexico)
Diego played all 180 minutes in two games last week, allowing two goals in a pair of wins. FPU is now 8-0-0 on the season and 5-0 in conference. He registered three saves, including a pair in the shutout win of New Haven.
Augustus McGiff, New Haven (So., M/F - Brookhaven, N.Y.)
The Chargers sophomore midfielder doubled his goal total for the season in just one game when he led the Chargers with a pair of goals in a 4-3 win over Assumption. His second goal of the night which came unassisted in the 79th minute went in the books as the game winner when he broke the 3-3 stalemate. His first goal of the afternoon was the second for the Chargers, putting the score at 2-0, as he received some help from junior Adam Lindstrom to complete that scoring opportunity.
Drew Kull, Saint Michael's (So., B - Rochester, N.Y.)
Kull keyed the Purple Knights allowing only three goals in an 0-1-1 week. During a 1-1 draw at AIC on Tuesday, Kull scored the 85th-minute go-ahead strike before recording a team save on Saturday to keep his team up 1-0 in an eventual 2-1 loss to regionally-ranked Adelphi.
Daniele Bottazzo, Saint Rose (So., D - Pforzheim, Baden-Württemberg, Germany)
Bottazzo's third-minute goal put the Golden Knights ahead for good in Tuesday's 2-0 triumph versus Saint Anselm. In addition to his go-ahead strike, Bottazzo also provided a full 90 minutes for the Saint Rose back line in the shutout effort.
