High Seeds Hold Suit in NE10 Quarterfinals.

MANSFIELD, Mass. – The four top seeds in the Northeast-10 Conference Women's Basketball Championship won their quarterfinal games on Sunday, setting up high-powered semifinal matchups on Thursday night in Long Island and Easton, Mass.

Number-one seeded Adelphi and Stonehill cruised to tournament-opening victories against Southern New Hampshire and Assumption, respectively, earning the right to host semifinal games later this week.

The Panthers will host Saint Anselm, the Northeast Division's second-seeded team, while the Skyhawks will welcome Le Moyne, the Southwest's two seed.

Thursday's semifinal games tip-off at 7 p.m. and the action will be streamed live on NE10NOW.tv – which is also available on Roku, Apple TV, Android TV and Amazon Fire Stick.

No. 1 Adelphi 81, No. 5 Southern New Hampshire 55 – Box Score

Four players scored in double-figures on Sunday for Adelphi, the top seed out of the Southwest Division, as the Panthers rolled to an 81-55 win over the Northeast's five-seed Southern New Hampshire in the NE10 quarterfinals at the Center for Recreation and Sports.

Emily Miccile had a monstrous 16-point, 16-rebound game for the Panthers, while teammate Leonie Edringer added a double-double herself of 18 points and 10 rebounds in the victory.

Adelphi never trailed in the game, due in large part to a strong defensive effort that held the Penmen to just 2-of-23 shooting from beyond the arc. The Panthers had a +13 rebounding edge over SNHU.

The Panthers will host Saint Anselm on Thursday night on Long Island. Adelphi looks to go back to the NE10 Championship game for the first time since 2017.

No. 1 Stonehill 61, No. 5 Assumption 52 – Box Score

Sophomore standout Kayla Raymond led a strong second-half effort on Sunday for Stonehill – the top seed out of the Northeast Division – on its way to a 61-52 win against the Northeast's fifth-seed Assumption at the Merkert Gym.

Raymond had a huge double-double of 26 points and 11 rebounds, leading the Skyhawks to the NE10 semifinals on Thursday night where they will host Le Moyne, the two seed in the Southwest Divison.

Tied at halftime, the Skyhawks mounted a solid second-half outing to advance in the NE10 Championship – relying heavily on Assumption's 19 turnovers that translated into 21 points for Stonehill.

Assumption's Temi Falayi recorded a 16-point, nine-rebound effort for the Greyhounds in the loss. Stonehill's pursuit of its first NE10 title since the 2007-08 season continues later this week.

No. 2 Le Moyne 54, No. 3 Bentley 51 – Box Score

In the rematch of last year's NE10 Championship game, senior standout McKayla Roberts delivered the heroics late in the game to help Le Moyne – the Southwest Division's two seed – advance past the Northeast's third-seeded Bentley on Sunday at Ted Grant Court.

Trailing 51-49 late in the game, Roberts nailed a three-pointer with seven seconds remaining – part of her game-high 24-point performance – leading Le Moyne to the narrow 54-51 margin of victory over the Falcons.

Le Moyne faced a deficit as large as eight points in the fourth quarter before sparking their comeback effort. Liz Millea added 13 points in the win. Bentley's Monica Viapiano had a team-high 18 points in the loss.

The Dolphins move on to the NE10 semifinals for the fourth-straight season, where they will meet the Northeast's top seed Stonehill on Thursday night at 7 p.m.

No. 2 Saint Anselm 55, No. 3 New Haven 44 – Box Score

The duo of Shannon Ryan and Peyton Steinman staved off an upset-bid by New Haven on Sunday in the NE10 quarterfinals, as Saint Anselm – the Northeast's two seed – managed a 55-44 victory at the Stoutenburgh Gym to advance to Thursday's semifinals.

Ryan had another huge double-double of 15 points and 17 rebounds, while Steinman scored 10 of her 20 points in the fourth quarter to hold off the Chargers – the third seed out of the Southwest.

Tied going into the fourth quarter, the Hawks outscored the Chargers, 20-9, in the final 10 minutes to keep their NE10 Championship hopes alive. Saint Anselm looks for its first NE10 title since the 1991 season.

The Hawks will travel to play top-seeded Adelphi on Thursday night on Long Island, with tip-off at 7 p.m.
