Six NE10 Players Recognized by D2CCA.
MANSFIELD, Mass. – Saint Anselm's Shannon Ryan, the Northeast-10 Conference Player of the Year, has now also been voted the 2019-20 Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) East Region Women's Basketball Player of the Year - as released on Thursday morning.
Ryan, the NE10 leader in points (23.0) and rebounds (15.0) per game this season, is a D2CCA East Region First Team player – one of three from the NE10. Peyton Steinman, Ryan's teammate, and Adelphi's Leonie Edringer also earned first team recognition.
In total, six NE10 players were honored by the D2CCA, as the league produced three selections to the East Region Second Team as well: Le Moyne's McKayla Roberts, Pace's Jackie DelliSanti, and Stonehill's Kayla Raymond.
Ryan had a remarkable season for the Hawks, becoming the program's all-time leading scorer, as well as extending her double-digit scoring streak to 50-consecutive games – dating back to her junior season in 2018-19.
She ranks among the nation's leaders in several statistical categories, including first in all of Division II in defensive rebounds (11.0) per game. Ryan notched 26 double-doubles this season, while also topping the NE10 charts in field goals made (271) and offensive rebounds per game (3.9).
