Pace Seeded Top Dog in NE10 Championship Bracket

WLAX Bracket Reveal

Mansfield, Mass. - For the second straight year the Pace women's lacrosse team, defending NCAA Division II champion, is the outright NE10 regular season champion.  The Setters head into this weekend's NE10 Championship as the No. 1 seed and earn a bye directly to the semifinals.

Pace, a winner in 21 straight games, is the first repeat outright champion since Adelphi in 2010 and '11.  The Setters will now try and grab the lone acheivment that eluded them last season, winning the NE10 Championship trophy. Le Moyne knocked off Pace last May, 13-12, in one of only two losses the Setters suffered en route to a national title.

The No. 1 team in the country all season, Pace is led by reigning National Midfielder of the Year Angelina Porcello.  The senior leads the conference in caused turnovers and groundballs while checking in second in points and third in draw controls.  Goalie Samantha Tanguay ranks second in the NE10 in save percentage.  The Setters are one of two unbeaten teams nationally, the other being the team Pace topped for the '23 title -- West Chester.

Adelphi checks in as the No. 2 seed with the only Panthers loss in conference coming against Pace by a single goal.  At 8-3 Bentley and New Haven are the other hosts for first round action.  The top four seeds will all host when the Championship begins Saturday, May 4th.  With the higher seed hosting throughout, the NE10 will crown its champion on May 11th.
