FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Adelphi and Pace Both Earn League-High Eight All-Conference Selections.

MANSFIELD, Mass. – Pace, the reigning NCAA Division II national champion, produced a league-high five major award winners to highlight the release of All-Conference women's lacrosse teams by the Northeast-10 Conference on Monday afternoon.

Picking up where it left off last season, Pace won its second-consecutive NE10 regular season title with an undefeated 11-0 record and reaped the benefits in All-Conference honors. Among the winners were Angelina Porcello as Midfielder of the Year and Tricia Molfetta as Coach of the Year, with both earning the awards for the second-straight time.

Pace grabbed three more awards with Alexandra Quinn as the Defensive Player of the Year, Samantha Tanguay as Goalkeeper of the Year and Maddie Schubert as Rookie of the Year. Porcello, Quinn and Tanguay were all First Team All-Conference selections, while Schubert was named to the Second Team.

Bentley's Maeve Johnson was named Attacker of the Year - becoming the first Falcons' player to earn the award since it began in the 2019 season, as it took the place of the Player of the Year award (Bentley's Alyssa Ritchie won Player of the Year in 2009).

Pace and Adelphi - the top two seeds in the NE10 Women's Lacrosse Championship - tied for a league-best with eight All-Conference selections each, including four apiece on the First Team. Assumption was third with six All-Conference selections, while Bentley, New Haven and Saint Anselm each had five.

Johnson had a big offensive season for Bentley, as she ranked second in goals (58) and third in points (84) to lead the Falcons to an 8-3 conference record and the No. 4 seed in the NE10 Championship. She recorded multiple points in every game - including a season-high 11 points (nine goals, two assists) in a win over Saint Rose on April 6. In the next game against SNHU, Johnson once again hit the double-digit mark with 10 points (six goals, four assists) in a victory. She was a two-time NE10 Player of the Week.

Quinn helped lead Pace to having a top-five scoring defense in Division II, as the Setters allowed just 7.68 goals per game to opponents this season as part of a challenging schedule that saw them play eight nationally-ranked programs. She ranked third in the NE10 in caused turnovers (36), trailing only her teammates Angelina Porcello and Delilah Doyle. Quinn also ranked in the top 10 in ground balls (33) and draw controls (69). She becomes the first Pace player to ever win NE10 Defensive Player of the Year.

Porcello, the reigning IWLCA Player and Midfielder of the Year, is on track to repeat those same honors this season after another remarkable year where she tied for the NE10 lead in points (88) and was the sole leader in caused turnovers (50). A true two-way player, Porcello's impact was felt all over the stat sheet, as she also ranked fourth in goals (57), fourth in assists (31), second in ground balls (56) and third in draw controls (92). She earns NE10 Midfielder of the Year for the second-straight season and leads top-ranked Pace into postseason play.

Tanguay is the first Pace player to win Goalkeeper of the Year honors, as she ranks in the top five nationally and leads all NE10 players in goals against average at 7.72. She also ranked second in the conference in save percentage (49.2) and goals allowed (98) while posting a 15-0 record in 16 starts for the top-ranked Setters. One of her biggest performances came in a 10-save outing as part of a 12-11 win over No. 3 Adelphi on April 10. Tanguay helped Pace become the top scoring defense in the NE10 and top-five in all of Division II.

Schubert becomes the first Pace player to earn Rookie of the Year since Kayla Conway in 2019. She ranked in the top 10 among all NE10 players in goals (46) while finishing tied for 14th in points (55). A five-time NE10 Rookie of the Week, Schubert scored a season-high seven goals in a win over SNHU on March 30. She was third in points for Pace this season, trailing only Porcello and Nikki Mottes, who earned a spot on the Second Team.

Molfetta wins her second NE10 Coach of the Year award after leading Pace to its second-consecutive undefeated regular season (17-0) as the top-ranked team in all of Division II. The Setters earned eight victories over ranked opponents this season - including a crucial victory over No. 3 Adelphi to earn sole ownership of the NE10 regular season championship. Last season, Molfetta and her staff was named the IWLCA Division II Coaching Staff of the Year.

The NE10 Women's Lacrosse Championship continues on Wednesday with the semifinal round. Pace will host Bentley, while Adelphi welcomes New Haven. Both games will be streamed live on NE10 NOW – the Conference's digital streaming platform.
