NE10 Takes Every Spot in NCAA Women's Lacrosse East Regional

Women's Lacrosse 2024

NCAA SELECTION SHOW

Pace to Host East Regional Beginning on Thursday.

MANSFIELD, Mass. - The Northeast-10 Conference swept all four selections in the NCAA Division II Women's Lacrosse East Regional, which will be hosted by No. 1 Pace for the second-straight season as announced on Sunday night. Pace will play No. 4-seeded Bentley, while No. 2-seeded Adelphi takes on No. 3-seeded New Haven when first round action takes place on Thursday.

The first round of the East Regional will be a pair of rematches from the NE10 Championship semifinals. Last Wednesday, Pace defeated Bentley, 15-3, and Adelphi beat New Haven, 9-7, to advance to the NE10 Championship final - a game that Pace would win over Adelphi, 16-14, to remain undefeated at 20-0 this season.

It is the second-consecutive year that the NE10 has earned all four selections in the NCAA East Regional. In the final ILWomen/IWLCA national poll of the regular season, Pace, Adelphi, New Haven and Bentley were all in the Top 25 - including Pace at No. 1 and Adelphi at No. 4.

Pace, the reigning NCAA champion, will look to defend its title. The Setters, under head coach Tricia Molfetta, started their postseason on a strong note on Saturday by winning their first NE10 title in program history. For the second-straight season, Pace went undefeated in conference play (11-0) on its way to the No. 1 seed in the NE10 Championship. Angelina Porcello, the NE10 Midfielder of the Year and NE10 Championship Most Outstanding Player, leads the Setters as the reigning Division II Player of the Year.

Pace will host Bentley on Thursday at 11 a.m., while Adelphi and New Haven meet at 3 p.m. The winners will play on Saturday at noon for the East Region Championship.
