NE10 Women's Track & Field Teams of the Week: Adelphi, Franklin Pierce

Adelphi - Frankin Pierce Teams of the Week

Each week for the remainder of the spring we will honor the seniors from two NE10 women's track & field programs as our teams of the week for each player's dedication to their program and teammates.

Adelphi

Head Coach Katie Rees on her senior class – "Our women's seniors have been an integral part of our team's success over the last four years. We are fortunate to have two out of the three of them returning next year for grad school. All three have been consistent performers and consistent contributors to our team at the conference, regional, and national level throughout their undergraduate career, and all three have been leaders within our team and on campus. It's hard to teach an athlete how to have their best performances when it really counts at the big meets, and all three ladies have been able to be those big-meet performers. They consistently bounce back from adversity, find a way to put points on the board for the women's team, and help OTHERS perform their best as well."

Season Recap
The Panthers placed sixth at the 2020 NE10 Indoor Track & Field Championships, the second time in three years they finished in the top six. Nicole Julian placed fourth in the 5K at this year's championships, while Victoria Major is a five-time NE10 Champion and six-time USTFCCCA All-American.

Franklin Pierce

Head Coach Zach Emerson on his senior class – "Over the past four years our women's track & field/cross country program saw all-time program best finishes at both the conference and regional levels. We have weathered many unprecedented storms together and came out the other side closer as a family and as better people. This was due to the exceptional leadership that was shown by this year's seniors. The class of 2020 were leaders from the very moment that they set foot on campus in Rindge, and we couldn't be prouder of them for the hard work in transforming our women's program into what it is today. They led their peers with passion, respect and humility."
