SNHU, Le Moyne Earn Top Seeds in NE10 Baseball Championship

MANSFIELD, Mass. – For the sixth-straight season, Southern New Hampshire has claimed the Northeast Division regular season championship - joining Le Moyne, the Southwest Division champion, as top seeds in the upcoming Northeast-10 Conference Baseball Championship. The quarterfinal round is scheduled for Tuesday, May 9. 

Eight teams will play for four spots in Championship Weekend, which will be hosted this year by the highest remaining seed from the Southwest Division following Tuesday's games. Championship Weekend (May 11-13) is a double-elimination format. All games this week will be streamed live on NE10NOW.tv

SNHU (37-10, 23-1 NE10) is the top-ranked team in the latest NCAA East Region rankings and is coming off a remarkable season where the program lost only one conference game. The Penmen have won each of the past two NE10 Championship titles and will look to make it three-straight this week. SNHU will play Bentley, the Northeast Division's No. 4 seed, on Tuesday at 3:30 p.m.

Le Moyne (29-17, 14-6 NE10) is one of the hottest teams in the NE10 - finishing the regular season by winning 14 of 16 conference games to overtake Southern Connecticut for the top spot in the Southwest Division. The Dolphins can earn the right to host Championship Weekend with a win on Tuesday over No. 4-seeded Adelphi at 2 p.m. 

The other Northeast Division matchup will feature No. 2 Franklin Pierce against No. 3 American International at 7 p.m., with the additional Southwest Division game between No. 2 Southern Connecticut and No. 3 Pace scheduled for 3:30 p.m. 

The rain date for Championship Weekend will be Sunday, May 14.

Game 4:  #3 NE American International at #2 NE Franklin Pierce (7:00 PM)

Thursday, May 11th, Friday, May 12th and Saturday, May 13th  (Finals weekend will be hosted by the Southwest Division)
