NE10 Player of the Week

Brendan Edvardsen, American International
Redshirt-Freshman | Outfield | Norwalk, Conn.

Edvardsen tore the cover off the ball in a 4-3 week for AIC. He went 12-for-28 with 10 runs and 14 RBI, slashing .429/.484/.893 as he launched six extra-base hits including two home runs and had four multi-hit games, and completed all 15 defensive chances in center field as well.


NE10 Pitcher of the Week

Dallas Vaughan, Saint Anselm
Junior | Pitcher | Haverhill, Mass.

In Vaughan's lone appearance of the week, the junior started threw a 7.0 inning complete game, aiding the Hawks to a 2-1 win over Assumption. Vaughan allowed just one unearned run on three hits while fanning 11, good for a 14.14 k/9 ratio. The win was his fourth of the season and was his third complete game effort in 2023.


NE10 Rookie of the Week

NE10 Weekly Honor Roll

Alec Maag, Adelphi (Sr., C - Center Moriches, N.Y.)
Batted .462 with one HR and three RBI in a 4-game sweep of SCSU to close out the regular season. He hit the walk-off two-run HR in the second game of Friday's doubleheader that helped catapult the Panthers back to the NE10 playoffs.

John Rizzo, Adelphi (So., P - Islip Terrace, N.Y.)
Took the ball in Game 1 of a four-game series with SCSU on Friday and pitched a gem against the then-NE10 Southwest Division-leading Owls with 6.0 innings of 10-strikeout (season-high-tying) ball in a 6-4 victory.

Josh Frometa, American Int'l (So., IF - Holyoke, Mass.)
Frometa was swinging a rocket-hot bat in his six games for the Yellow Jackets, collecting hits in every game en route to going 13-for-26. He launched four over those hits over the fence and slashed .500/.519/1.038 on the week, driving in 11 and scoring seven times.

Brandon Gaul, American Int'l (Gr., LHP/OF - Allentown, N.J.)
Gaul had a great week for AIC on the bump and at the plate. He allowed just one earned run across eight innings, including a seven-inning, seven-strikeout start at Franklin Pierce where he held the Ravens to just four hits. He had more hits - eight - in his own 19 at-bats than he allowed in the 29 at-bats he pitched for, and in addition to his .421 average he drove in five and scored three times, while completing 26 of 27 defensive chances. 

Liam Sears, Bentley (Gr., 1B-DH - Springfield, Mass.)
In a four-game series with St. Michael's, Sears slashed .400/.471/.800 with his six hits including three doubles and a home run. In the regular season finale, he finished 4-for-4 with two doubles, a home run, nine total bases, three runs scored and six RBI. Sears also handled 13 chances at first without an error. For the season, he's hitting .331 with six HR, 33 RBI and a .531 slugging percentage.

Ryan Scialabba, Saint Anselm (So., IF - Cheshire, Conn.)
Scialabba slashed .571/.647/1.000 in a 1-3 weekend against Assumption. The sophomore collected eight hits in 14 at-bats, four of which went for extra bases on three doubles and a home run. Scialabba scored four runs and drove in four and worked three walks. The sophomore opened the series with a double and a homer with two RBIs before adding two hits in three at-bats in a 2-1 win on Friday. Scialabba followed that up with a three-for-four game in game one on Saturday collecting two doubled before registering a single, two walks, and on RBI in game two. Defensively, the sophomore was five-for-five in his chances at second base. 

John Luke Cianciolo, St. Michael's (Sr., RHP/DH - Guilford, Conn.)
Cianciolo yielded two runs on five hits in 6.2 innings with six strikeouts in a 5-2 win at Bentley on Thursday. He held the Falcons to a .208 batting average in the contest. On Saturday, he walked once in three plate appearances in the opener before adding a two-run, pinch-hit single in game two in his final college plate appearance.

Terence Moynihan, St. Michael's (So., SS/2B - Stoneham, Mass.)
Moynihan slashed .471/.529/.500 during a 2-2 series split with Bentley last week, hitting 8-for-17 with two runs, a double, a walk and a stolen base. He was 3-for-4 with a run, a double, a walk and a steal in Thursday's opener before finishing 1-for-4 during a 5-2 victory in the nightcap. On Saturday, Moynihan added another 1-for-4 effort in an 8-4 win in game one before finishing the season with a 3-for-5 outing in the second contest, scoring once.

Cam Caraher, Southern N.H. (Jr., OF - Plymouth, Mass.)
Caraher went 3-for-8 (.375) with two home runs, four RBI and three runs scored, while slashing .444/1.125/1.569, as the Penmen split a pair of games last week. In a 13-3 win over Molloy in game two Saturday, Caraher was 2-for-5 with two long-balls, three RBI and two runs scored.

Frankie Sanchez, Southern N.H. (So., 2 - Kendall Park, N.J.)
Sanchez allowed three runs - two earned - on seven hits, while striking out four and not issuing a walk, over 6.0 innings, as SNHU posted a 13-3 game-two win at Molloy on Saturday.
