Adelphi's Jovanovic, Quagliardi Selected to First Team.

MANSFIELD, Mass. - Four men's and women's tennis players from the Northeast-10 Conference have been selected to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-America teams, following their outstanding performances on the court and in the classroom this season. Two players from both Adelphi and Southern New Hampshire were recognized.

Adelphi's Marko Jovanovic, the NE10 Vern Cox Co-Player of the Year, and Barbie Quagliardi were both First Team honorees in men's and women's tennis, respectively. Southern New Hampshire's Jesse Den Hartog, an NE10 Vern Cox Player of the Year in his own right, joined his teammate Fernando Torres on the Third Team for the men's side.

All four players are first-time recipients of Academic All-America honors. Jovanovic earned a 3.98 GPA as an accounting major, while becoming a First Team All-Conference selection for the first time in his career following the 2022-23 season. Quagliardi, the 2019 NE10 Player of the Year, tallied a 3.99 GPA in finance.

Den Hartog became the second-straight Penmen to win NE10 Vern Cox Player of the Year, following his teammate Jonathan Berling, who accomplished the feat in 2021-22. Den Hartog had a 3.95 GPA in business administration, while Torres - a First Team All-Conference selection at No. 3 singles - earned a 3.96 GPA in business administration. Both Den Hartog and Torres helped lead SNHU to its first NE10 Men's Tennis Championship title since 2019.
