Ashley Cangiano, Franklin Pierce

Through a five-game week for Pierce softball, Cangiano continued to make history with a new single-game program record 8 RBI in a 15-8 win at Saint Anselm, which also helped her to set the new standard in single-season RBI (45) for the program. In total, Cangiano connected for 7 hits in 14 appearances at the plate (.500 avg.), including three home runs and one triple for 10 RBI on the week. Cangiano also finished with a .632 on-base percentage, and a 1.286 slugging percentage, and was a perfect 1.000% defensively with 8 putouts and 3 assists.

NE10 Rookie of the Week
Haley Rusbuldt, Pace
Freshman | Utility | Lakewood, Wash.
Rusbuldt played in five of Pace's six games last week, batting .533 with eight hits in 15 at bats. She had one home run, three RBI, drew one walk and scored four runs, while picking up a .563 on-base percentage and .800 slugging percentage. On April 20, she went 4-for-4 with two runs scored and one RBI in the Setters' nine-inning 12-11 comeback win over the University of Bridgeport.
NE10 Weekly Honor Roll
Victoria Andrade, AIC (Gr., C/INF - Salem, N.H.)
Andrade had a massive week behind and at the plate for AIC, batting .357 and slugging .929 as she whacked four extra base hits. She reached base in all four games, and scored five runs, including collecting career hits number 99 and 100 in the form of home runs against Saint Anselm's Hannah Hicks, who has the NE10's second-lowest ERA. She also completed 14 chances defensively and cut down two runners on the basepaths.
Riley Sullivan, AIC (Jr., P - Altamont, N.Y.)
Sullivan was strong in the circle for AIC against Post and Saint Anselm, going 1-1 and allowing just three earned runs in 11 innings of work. She scattered six hits across a complete game win against the Eagles, and held the Hawks to just two hits in four innings of work, collecting six total strikeouts. She even made good use of her glove, snaring a liner with a runner at third to save that run against Post.
Payton Doiron, Bentley (Jr., P - Beacon Falls, Conn.)
In three appearances during the week, Doiron had a 0.40 ERA, an .091 opponents batting average and 24 strikeouts in 17.2 innings. She struck out a school-record 16 during a two-hit 10-inning shutout at Southern Connecticut, breaking a record that had stood since 1986. Doiron, who moved into number two on Bentley;s all-time strikeout list, also was the hard-luck loser in a 1-0 loss to Assumption, a game in which she allowed only three hits and struck out eight.
Sam Petow, Bentley (Sr., CF - Glastonbury, Conn.)
Petow drove in the only run during a 1-0 extra-inning win at Southern Connecticut, a triple down the right field line with one out in the tenth. Overall in a 2-2 week, she slashed .500/.563/.714 with seven hits, two runs, three RBI, a double and a triple. Petow also tracked down 10 balls in center.
Laura Bennett, Le Moyne (Jr., P - Corning, N.Y.)
She went 3-0 with a 2.77 ERA and 21 strikeouts over 17.2 innings during Le Moyne's 3-1 week. She had six strikeouts in going the distance in an 8-7 win over Franklin Pierce in the series opener on Friday. She recorded six strikeouts over 5.2 innings of relief to earn the win in a 7-5 victory over Franklin Pierce on Saturday. She then tallied nine strikeouts as the Dolphins won the nightcap, 12-1, in five innings.
McKenzie Bergdoll, Le Moyne (Sr., 1B - Attleboro, Mass.)
Bergdoll slashed .538/.571/1.000 with three doubles, a home run, seven RBI and four runs scored in Le Moyne's 3-1 week. She went 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBI in an 8-7 win over Franklin Pierce on Friday. She went 2-for-4 with a double, an RBI and a run scored in a 7-5 game one win over Saint Michael's on Saturday. She followed by going 3-for-3 with two doubles, three RBI and two runs scored in a 12-1 five-inning victory in the nightcap.
Mia Iodice, New Haven (Gr., P - Rehoboth, Mass.)
Iodice made three appearances in the circle last week, finishing with a 1.79 earned run average, allowing four earned runs over 15.2 innings of work. Two of Iodice's appearances on the week were complete game victories for the Chargers, the first in seven innings against Pace, the second in five innings against Bridgeport. Overall for the week, she also racked up 14 strikeouts as she continues to climb the top-10 list in program history.
Haile Hicks, Saint Anselm (Jr., P - Jefferson, N.H.)
Hicks collected two complete game efforts in two wins for the Hawks this week. Hicks allowed just three hits and fanned six in a shutout win over Franklin Pierce before fanning nine in 8.0 innings of work in a 6-4 win at American International. The junior totaled 15.0 innings pitched and posted a 1.87 ERA with a 7.00 k/7 ratio.
Alyssa Wironen, Saint Anselm (So., C - Leominster, Mass.)
Wironen slugged .364/.462/1.091 in a 3-1 week for the Hawks. Wironen collected two doubles and two home runs for four hits in the pair of doubleheaders. The sophomore led Saint Anselm with six runs batted in and scored three herself while working two walks.
Bella Dickinson, Southern N.H. (Jr., INF/P - Scarborough, Maine)
Bella Dickinson helped lead the SNHU offense to a 4-0 week. She had four hits in 13 AB (.308) with a double and a home run. Her homer in the second game on Saturday was the only run in a 1-0 win. She also drew three walks for a .438 OBP.
Gwyn Hammond, Southern N.H. (So., P - Los Angeles, Calif.)
Hammond went 2-0 with a 0.50 ERA with complete-game wins in her two starts last week. She allowed two unearned runs in the 9-2 win over Saint Michael's, and followed that up with a 4-1 win over Assumption. In the 14 IP, she walked only one batter while striking out five.
