Hibbs Named D2CCA East Region Pitcher of the Year.
MANSFIELD, Mass. – Adelphi's Lindsey Hibbs has been named the Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) East Region Pitcher of the Year as the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) and D2CCA All-Region teams are announced. Hibbs highlights a group of 11 softball student-athletes from the Northeast-10 Conference who earned a total of 17 selections.
Hibbs was also named NE10 Pitcher of the Year and the Most Outstanding Player at the NE10 Softball Championship after leading the Panthers to the program's second-straight tile and NCAA Tournament berth. She currently holds a 0.55 ERA and 385 strikeouts to lead all NE10 and Division II pitchers.
Saint Anselm had a league-high four players selected to All-Region teams, led by Haile Hicks who made the NFCA First Team and D2CCA Second Team. Fellow Hawks Kylie Fitzpatrick and Gracie O'Hara both earned NFCA and D2CCA Second Team honors. Teammate Ava Caputo joined Hicks, Fitzpatrick and O'Hara on the D2CCA Second Team.
Adelphi, Bentley and Franklin Pierce all had two players selected, while Pace had one. For the full list of honorees, please see below.
