Bentley Men & Southern Connecticut Women Capture NE10 Swimming & Diving Titles

WORCESTER, Mass. – The Bentley men were dominant from start to finish in capturing their second straight NE10 Swimming & Diving Championship, while the Southern Connecticut women outlasted Assumption to capture the 2020 NE10 Title on Sunday evening in the WPI Sports and Recreation Center.

The Owls led by just 7.5 points entering Sunday's action but used a number of strong performances to hold off the Greyhounds, 863-830.5, and secure their third championship in the past four seasons. Bentley took third with 703.5 points while Pace (4150 and Le Moyne (348) rounded out the top five. 

On Sunday the Falcons extended their lead to win by nearly 250 points over SCSU, 815.5-584.5, for their third NE10 Title in the last four seasons. Le Moyne earned a third place finish with 407 points while Pace (338) and Saint Michael's (261) rounded out the top five. For a complete list of results, see below.

Assumption's Anne Guadalupi won the Elite 24 award for the women, as the junior has a 4.0 GPA, while Filip Turecky of Pace University claimed the Elite 24 award for the men as he also owns a 4.0 GPA. 

Southern Connecticut's Leo Laporte claimed the Men's Swimmer of the Meet award, while Abbey Holmes won it for a second straight year for Assumption. Freshmen Mary Huminski was named Women's Diver of the Meet after winning both the 1-meter and 3-meter events. Andrew Buehler, also a freshman, was victorious in both events as he took home Men's Diver of the Meet honors.
